Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart by clicking on the "Add to cart" button. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

You can select from the payment options to call us with your card details if you prefer. We accept Visa, Switch, Maestro, Mastercard and PayPal.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the event that we have made a listing error for example inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. If a price change is required, we will always contact you first to ensure that the adjusted price is acceptable.

Shipping And Handling

Standard delivery is charged at £3.50 for all orders with a value not exceeding £100.00, £5.95 for orders up to £1000.00 and £7.95 for all orders in excess £1000.00. These charges do not reflect the actual cost of the packaging and delivery but represent a nominal value offset against the full expense we incur to provide this service. It should not be assumed that this delivery charge is representative of the true cost of returning the goods. Please note: shipping of most goods takes place from our parent company Bresser GmbH's Warehouse in Germany on a 2-3 working day delivery schedule.
In stock orders are normally shipped the same working day if we receive the order before 12PM. You will be notified at the time of order by email (online orders) or by telephone (mail orders) if your item is no longer in stock. Consignments with a total value of £30 or less are sent via Royal Mail with orders over this value, or those too large for ordinary mail, being shipped using an insured courier service. Courier deliveries require a signature or are carded for the customer to arrange collection from the closest depot or re delivery. All delivery times are subject to change but every effort is made to deliver as specified.

Please note: Courier deliveries to destinations outside the UK mainland will incur an additional charge to those listed above and we will contact you with a quote, prior to processing your order.

Please note, at busy times of the year (especially Christmas) deliveries can take longer than usual.  We attempt to keep customers up to date with changes to shipping schedules, but highly recommend that when sent delivery information, customers use courier contacts to communicate directly with couriers, rather than emailing us or telephoning us, as this only increases communication times and complexity.  Very often, once a delivery process has been started, it is only the recipient that can change or adjust deliveries.  Please note Bresser UK Ltd. and our couriers are not responsible for any costs or inconvenience incurred by customers giving us wrong delivery information, inaccurate or incomplete addresses and contact information, or missing attempted deliveries.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to dispatch your order right away and typically use a 2-3 working day delivery service. In the case of smaller post items please allow 5 working days for delivery.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will cancel the order and refund your payment. You will always be emailed with the option to back-order the item if you are happy to wait. Back-ordered goods remain uncharged until in stock.

Tax Charges

Orders originating in or for destinations within the UK or the European Union include 20.0% VAT.

CHANNEL ISLANDS - At our sole discretion we do not refund VAT on the first £100 of any order placed, effectively increasing purchase price to cover the extra costs involved in shipping out of the UK. After £100 we will refund on request.

Customs Charges

We reserve the right to charge additional fees for preparation of customs documentation, where deemed necessary.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. We do not have access to your card details as they remain encrypted throughout the entire transaction process. Card details are not held or recorded by Bresser UK Ltd beyond processing a telephone order.

Please note that specifications and images may differ from time to time and can be changed without prior notice but your satisfaction is our highest priority. If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our utmost to resolve any issues you may have.

You are entitled to return any product during a 14 day cooling off period but please read our returns policy for full details of our terms and conditions. In all instances of unwanted purchases, return carriage charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Binoculars are covered for manufacturing faults for the entire warranty period, collimation issues resulting from impacts cannot be covered and therefore it is strongly recommended that they are fully tested by the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods. After the 14 day period we are unable to replace or refund binoculars for collimation issues. This does not affect your statutory rights.

This helps us to quickly identify and inspect returned items whilst reducing avoidable delays to the authorisation of repairs, exchanges or refunds. Bresser UK Ltd will endeavour to process all refunds or exchanges for returned goods within 14 days of them being received or proof of their return being provided.

Please note, due to the combined nature of many of our Megadeals, it is not possible to return or exchange one constituent part without the other(s).

Effects of withdrawal. If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods including all cost associated to returning the item to serviceable condition, if returned not packaged correctly in original packaging, including repairs, if goods are damaged in transit back to us. This is in line with your responsibility to take care of goods while in your possession, including transit back to us.  The return cost is estimated at a maximum of approximately £60.00 (for Mainland UK returns, this will potentially be more for non-Mainland UK collections).
