Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a certified protection filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope opening, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the concentrated light beam through the optics will immediately destroy the filter foil, leading to severe eye damage, including permanent blindness.
Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their eyesight.

Housing and eyepiece shaft are completely made from metal - no plastic is used. Filter thread for use with colour- and nebular filters is also available.

With the usage of barlow lenses, you can extend the equivalent focal length of telescopes and hence increase the magnification of your observed targets. Subsequently, you can use lower power eyepieces in Barlows to act as much more powerful eyepieces, but retain the larger ocular size and more comfortable viewing that comes with lower power eyepiece designs.Due to their two lens design, these Barlow lenses provide a brilliant image quality for the whole visual field and are suitable for observations and photography. The black coloured Barlow element cell in this BRESSER Barlow Lens 2x 31.8mm/1.25," can be unscrewed and has the same thread as 1.25" filters, allowing it to be mounted in 1.25" eyepieces, t-adapters and other accessories, giving you flexibility of use and the ability to vary magnification in different accessories. For instance, the black Barlow cell screwed into the average length nosepiece of a standard push fit t-adapter will give around 1.6x magnification on an attached DSLR. The Vixen R200SS Reflector Telescope in Detail The highly light-gathering f/4 200 mm optics of the R200SS come with a parabolic primary mirror, delivering extremely sharp images without chromatic aberration. A special coating (state-of-the-art technology) provides the optimal surface for observing and photographing deep-sky objects. Vixen has developed a unique aluminum vacuum coating system that produces highly precise mirror surfaces. This revolutionary system allows greater precision through controlled coating of the primary mirror. This coating is also used in the Vixen VC200L. With its large aperture and short focal length, the R200SS telescope is ideal for astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters, and comets. When used with an optional coma corrector Art. Very Precise Tracking with P-PEC FunctionThe SXP2 mount is delivered with the modern STAR BOOK TEN controller. It offers you the P-PEC function for particularly precise tracking. The abbreviation "PEC" stands for "Periodic Error Correction". The system corrects mechanical errors caused by periodic gear system inaccuracies. The SXP2 equatorial mount is equipped with a P-PEC function, which evolved from the PEC function. The P-PEC function saves your correction records even after the mount is powered off. This way, you don’t need to re-enter the data every time, allowing for faster operation and more precise tracking.
Low-Noise Belt Drive System with Minimal PlayIn traditional motor-driven equatorial mounts, gears are used that are driven by the motor. However, this construction has the disadvantage of introducing some play between the gears. To avoid the resulting inaccuracies, the SXP2 mount features a belt drive system. This significantly reduces both gear play and motor noise. Furthermore, the device responds more quickly when corrections are required.
16 BearingsThe mechanical components of the SXP2 mount feature a total of 16 bearings. A set of tapered roller bearings is used for the RA axis to provide more stability for precise tracking.
Stable Altitude Block for AlignmentThe SXP2 mount uses the same fork as the heavier AXJ mount. This new construction enables quick and stable latitude adjustment.
Simple and Precise Polar Alignment Using Reference StarsThe 6x20 polar finder is pre-installed. This allows you to set polar alignment (for both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres). Vixen’s latest design of polar finder, allows a simple, hassle-free method of polar alignment. The Vixen Polarscope PF-L II for AP & SX mounts has a reticule showing the Pole star (Polaris) and two other stars (Delta UMi and 51 Cep) in their precise positions. By turning the Polarscope you can easily match the reticle with the asterism of these stars in the sky and mechanically adjust your mount’s azimuth and altitude axes to align to the true North Pole. You can then adjust the Polar star to a more precise alignment using the reticule’s year marking (which runs from 2015 to 2040, but in practise can be used much longer after this) .
Using this alignment process, with visual reference to the actual stars in the sky, a complicated alignment, using date and time to calculate Polaris offset from the pole is unnecessary. For alignment in the Southern Hemisphere you simply use the Trapezium asterism (Sigma, Chi, Tau and Upsilon Octantis) of the constellation Octans and position the reticule with the trapezium stars aligned to their marked positions.
The Polarscope has built-in LED illumination, which is dimmable in many stages, and ensures an automatic shut-off after 2 minutes, saving your battery life.
The PFL-II also has an improved edge sharpness, when compared with its predecessor.
