With the Classic 70/350, BRESSER has developed a light weight and compact refractor telescope, with good light gathering power for sky observing, landscape and wildlife viewing alike. The telescope is very easy to set-up, easy to use and highly transportable. It is equally useful for nature enthusiasts, who are searching for a powerful telescope which offers a bright and sharp view, as it is for astronomers. It is ideal as a travel scope, due to its light weight and compact nature. The Classic 70/350 comes supplied with a 90° Erecting-prism (1.25"´/31,7mm) and shows an upright and corrected image. The supplied field tripod is a sturdy mount for the telescope. It is adjustable in height from 28-63inch (73-160cm) and makes the observation much more comfortable no matter what height the user is. A carry case for the tripod is also supplied.The telescope is provided with three eyepieces, a 20mm, 12.5mm and 4mm, giving respective powers of 17.5x (ideal for finding targets), 28x ideal for more detailed nature study and wide field astronomical targets) and 87.5x (this is enough to resolve Saturn as a ringed object and reveal a wealth of detail on the Moon).  As the telescope takes standard 1.25" gauge eyepieces, you can add to your eyepiece collection easily with eyepieces and other accessories (Barlow lenses etc.) from various manufacturers.  The maximum practical magnification of this telescope as around the 130x mark - though views of brighter targets like the Moon could be pushed a little further.The telescope is also supplied with a smartphone holder to take photos with your phone through the eyepieces - easily sharing the views you get with friends and family. Minimal vignetting for uniform illuminationMost astrographs experience some level of optical vignetting (light gradually diminishes towards the image edges). This is mainly caused by the rear lenses being shadowed by the front lenses. As a result, photographers often need to apply image corrections or capture additional flat frames beforehand. The VSD70ss tackles this issue with large-aperture lenses in the rear elements and preserves over 90% of the light all the way to the edge of its 55mm image circle. The result is uniform brightness across the entire field, eliminating the need for extensive post-processing to compensate for edge darkening. The VSD70ss features cutting-edge multi-coatings with exceptionally high reflectivity. These coatings have been specially designed to optimise the performance of each individual lens element, ensuring maximum contrast and light transmission without degradation across multiple lenses. At the centre of the field, the telescope achieves an impressive 96.7% Strehl intensity at visible wavelengths—surpassing even the acclaimed SD81SII apochromat with its 95.7% Strehl ratio. Large, versatile, and stable focuser The VSD70ss has a large focuser with a diameter of 87.5mm to make optimum use of the large 55mm field of illumination. The Vixen SDP65SS is a compact astrograph that delivers exceptional imaging quality at a more accessible price than the VSD telescope series. Designed specifically for astrophotography, this telescope features a four-element, four-group optical system incorporating both an SD (Super ED) lens and an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) lens. The result is outstanding image performance comparable to that of the VSD series. Thanks to its compact size and retractable dew cap, the telescope is an ideal travel companion for mobile astrophotographers. Purpose-built for astrophotographyThe SDP65SS has been purpose-built for astrophotography and features four elements made from SD glass, high-refractive-index ED glass and lanthanum glass. The arrangement of the lenses is optimised for maximum performance, significantly reducing axial chromatic aberration and achieving the same level of astigmatism correction as the VSD telescope series.Exceptional image field flattening The optimised arrangement of the four lenses made from SD and ED glass achieves an exceptionally flat image plane without the need for an additional flattening lens.
