FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC VA colour weather station with 4 measuring points in black displays all relevant weather data at a glance. The set includes 3 outdoor sensors and one built-in sensor. On the clearly arranged colour display you will find information such as temperature and humidity for indoor as well as outdoor, as well as the exact time via DCF radio transmission. Besides the built-in sensor in the console unit (display) the station is able to receive the temperature and humidity readings from three additional sensors which are included in this set. Its use is therefore very versatile as the sensors can be placed either in- or outdoors. What's the temperature in the kids room, is the basement too moist how cold is it outside? All these questions can be viewed on one display. The station has a time offset function, so although parts of the UK are technically able to receive the European DCF time signal (southern England), your station will be displaying the UK time. For all parts of the UK where the time signal can not be received the time can easily be set manually with this station. The featured weather forecast is for the coming 12-24h.

The weather station combines a compact design with a comprehensive information service. The new, unique colour display offers clear information and an ideal overview in an elegant design. The multifunctional outdoor sensor with its very compact design can be set up in almost any location. A pipe clamp and screws for attachment to masts (pipe diameter approx. 25-33 mm) as well as a stand for level mounting are already included in the scope of delivery! The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor reliably transmits measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and amount of precipitation to the base station.
