The first number indicates the magnification (here: 8x). The second number describes the objective lens diameter in millimeters (here: 42 mm).
ED glass (Extra Low Dispersion) reduces chromatic aberration (color fringing) and ensures brilliant, true-color images.

  • BK-7 (borosilicate glass): Standard, good imaging performance
  • BaK-4 (barium crown glass): Higher quality, rounder exit pupils, brighter and higher-contrast image

The BRESSER Condor 8x25 & 10x25 are extremely lightweight binoculars which are perfect for hiking or spontaneous nature observation, they are waterproof due to nitrogen filling. With the rotatable and lockable eyecups, the eye distance for the observation can be gradually adjusted with and without glasses. A diopter correction is standard. These models have BaK-4 prisms with the special UR coating which brings even more light to your eye. In addition, all Condor binoculars are fully multilayer coated for a better light transmission. Equipped with a 940nm infrared LED illumination, this digital camera can be used both day and night for stunning close-up pics of the small animal. The camera has a motion sensor, with a range of about 1 m, which triggers the camera when an animal flies in front of the camera. Small movements of trees or shrubs are thus prevented. The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC 8x42 is a roof prism binocular with a magnification of 8x and an optical aperture of 42mm. A diopter adjustment allows diopter corrections up to +-2.
