Ultra Light Dobsonian 406mm GENERATION II - with completely redesigned and improved construction.
No telescope type has influenced amateur astronomy as radically as the dobsonian telescope. Before the introduction of this telescope type by John Dobson the vast majority of amateur telescopes were small inadequate refractors on shaky mounts - just good enough to show the polar regions on mars or the rings of Saturn. Bigger telescopes, like the Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes, were restricted to the relatively small group of amateurs that could afford them. The brilliant combination of simple - but effective - mechanics and the largest aperture available led to a worldwide triumph of this concept. No other telescope type offers you so much light for your money as a good dobson. We have taken the motto "held together by gravity and driven by yoghurt power" and offer a modern version of the classic - designed by amateur astronomers for amateur astronomers. Despite its large aperture the telescope can be transported easily even in small cars and is assembled within minutes without tools. The construction was optimized for maximum rigidity with a minimum of mass. The combination of big altitude wheels and a optimized aluminium-sandwich construction allows for small movements even at high magnifications. The focus position is already positioned to accept our coma-corrector. The ideal workhorse for the deep-sky enthusiast. A telescope with 406mm aperture gathers more than 3300-times more light than the naked eye. Details on planetary surfaces stand out even to unexperienced observers, and countless deep-sky objects show details. Bright globular clusters are resolved down to the core and the view of the lunar terminator will provide a unforgettable experience.

Each dew shield threads into the front lens cell and effectively inhibits the formation of dew on the lens surface in humid/cool observation conditions. Reduces reflections caused by scattered light incident from the side. Protects the front lens from accidental contact and scratches. FEATURES Prevents fogging of the front lens Reduces reflections caused by stray light Protects the front lens of the telescope Use in humid/cool conditions Suitable for BRESSER MCX127/MC127 telescopes Easy to screw into the telescopic tube Length: 120mm , weight: 160g SCOPE OF DELIVERY Dew cap, 1 piece
The 360 IV Lens Heater is designed to prevent camera lenses and telescopes from fogging up due to dew. It is also well suited for eyepieces. The heating element is a carbon fiber heater with a high thermal efficiency. The textile heating element provides great flexibility compared to other heating materials. The power cord (USB cable) has a particularly high flexibility to be still elastic at low temperatures. A very flexible Velcro tape allows for quick and easy attachment to and removal from the lens. The tape can be easily removed from the lens without pulling tightly. The heating tape has a very low power consumption and can be operated with a 10,000 mA battery for up to 14 hours. The Vixen Lens Heater 360 IV in detailWhen moisture in the air comes into contact with an object whose temperature is lower than the ambient temperature, small drops of water form - so-called dew condensation. Astrophotography often suffers from such lens fogging and the photo turns milky. Because the temperature and humidity change during the night and the camera becomes cooler than the ambient temperature, it is important to warm the objective's or telescope's lens by using heaters to prevent it from fogging. We recommend using the Lens Heater 360 IV when you want to do astrophotography or night photography on the coast, in the mountains or in cold regions. The heating elements are made of carbon fibers with improved heating performance, introduced for the fourth generation Vixen Lens Heater 360 IV. They efficiently keep the lens warm and fog-free with minimal power consumption. The heater temperature reaches 10 degrees Celsius above the ambient temperature (at 20 °C outside temperature and no wind). However, it varies according to influences in the environment. For power supply the lens heater is equipped with a detachable coiled cable (USB Type-C), up to 50 cm long. The 360 IV lens heater consumes only 2.5 W of power (5 V - 0.5 A). With a portable USB battery of e.g. 10,000 mA, it can operate continuously for about 14 hours (at 20 °C outdoor temperature). However, the operating time varies greatly depending on the environment and temperature. The soft and non-slip surface of the heating tape allows for easy attachment to the objective, eyepiece or telescope. The heater consists of a 30 mm wide and 600 mm long heating tape and is suitable for diameters up to 100 mm.FEATURESHeating type: carbon fiber textile heatingTemperature: 10 degrees Celsius above ambient outdoor temperature (at 20° C, no wind)Power source, power consumption: USB, 5 V, 0.5 A, 2.5 WPower cable: USB A (male)Connector: USB type C connector detachable coiled cable 20 to 50 cmOperating time: approximately 14 hours with fully charged 10,000 mAh battery (at 20 °C outdoor temperature)Recommended for lenses with a width of 30 mm and an outer diameter of 45 to 100 mmDimensions: 30 x 600 mmTotal weight: 67 gSCOPE OF DELIVERYLens Heater 360 IVUSB spiral cable

The perfect LED head torch for nighttime observations!
Adjusting your eyes to the dark surroundings is very important when making astronomical observations.
In dark areas, it is very difficult to use astronomical equipment without a suitable light.
With normal lights, however, the light intensity is more important than protecting your eyes against bright light.
Using these lights at night makes your pupils contract, which can make it difficult for your eyes to readjust to the darkness.
The SG-L01, our first astronomy LED lamp, featured a built-in red LED that provided a solution to this problem.
However, the red light did not offer optimal visibility. On our new astronomy LED light, the SG-L02, the LED lights produce warm light to improve visibility.
They also ensure that your eyes stay adapted to the dark.
The LEDs do not emit light in the sensitive range of 555 nm.
The brightness of the white light can be adjusted between 3 and 42 lumen, while the red light can be adjusted between 0.28 and 7.62 lumen.

Universal mounting rail for mounting a photo camera on an EQ mount with Vixen GP mount for astrophotography. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC camera dovetail rail is made of die-cast aluminium. The dovetail-shaped mounting rail is 45 mm wide (similar to the Vixen dovetail style) and 280 mm long. The matt black anodized surface has a laser engraved scale on one side with a fine graduation with 2 mm increments. This makes it easier to determine the center of gravity when placing the camera on the mounting head. To protect the clamping surface there is a stainless steel clamping plate on the opposite side. The dovetail plate is equipped with rubber inserts at 3 positions. This allows a secure mounting of the camera equipment and prevents unintentional slipping and twisting. The mounting rail has a screw fastening with 1/4 inch photo thread, which is suitable for almost all commercially available camera systems. The screw attachment can be used in 3 different elongated hole positions to adjust a perfect balance. In addition, an adapter from 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch photo thread is also included, so that ball heads with the larger thread version can also be used directly. The camera mounting rail weighs only 250 grams. Suitable for all EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC and BRESSER mounts and also mounts of other brands that accept the popular Vixen-GP dovetail rail. SXD2 mount with R200SS reflector telescope.
The SXD2 mount comes with the new STARBOOK TEN controller and the PFL polar viewfinder, which allows you to configure the mount quickly and easily via reference stars.
The R200ss was optimized for photography and allows very short exposure times. The telescope set also offers outstanding visual performance and produces sharp images without chromatic aberration. The SXD2 mount comes with the new STARBOOK TEN controller and the PFL-II polar viewfinder, which allows you to configure the mount quickly and easily via reference stars.
The mount can be operated fully automatically and finds celestial objects automatically.
The SXD 2 mount in detail
With a combination of the best features from the Sphinx series and the all-new STAR BOOK TEN manual controller, Vixen has developed a new generation of SX mounts for demanding observers and astrophotographers.
The SXD2 mount comes with the new STAR BOOK TEN controller and can be operated manually or with a computer.
Featuring the same precision stepper motors as the top-of-the range AXD mount, the SXD2 sets a new standard for performance in the Vixen mount range. Compared with the SX mounts, the SXD2 has a quieter tracking system, and the increased precision of the motors provides better performance for the long exposure times used in astrophotography.
Precision stepper motors and micro-step motion control system
The star feature of the SXD2 is the precision stepper motors, which offer better performance and responsiveness than previous models. The micro-step motion control system has powerful yet very quiet drive characteristics that offer both fine control and quick swivel movements.
Built-in bearings
The bearings of the RA and DEC axles and the worm shafts were significantly improved in order to reduce the load on the motors. The motors are much quieter than those on previous models.
Robust RA and DEC axles
High-precision and thick steel shafts in RA and DEC axles increase the robustness of the SXD2 mount.
High-precision worm gears
High-precision processing technologies were used to rectify problems with the worm gear. The edges of both worms and worm gears are particularly smooth, which enables them to deliver very high precision.
Declination axis functions as counterweight
The sturdy motor units are located in the lower section of the declination axis to ensure that the SDX2’s centre of gravity is below the intersection of the RA and DEC axis. As a result, fewer additional counterweights are required.
The R200SS in detail
The R200SS features very fast f4 200 mm optics with a parabolic primary mirror and produces extremely sharp images with no chromatic aberration. A special layer made using state-of-the-art technology provides an optimal surface for observing and photographing deep-sky objects.
The large aperture and short size make this device ideal for astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters and comets. The use of an optional coma corrector provides a sharp image until the edges of the field of view. The focuser features a socket for 2-inch eyepieces.
The R200ss comes with 232 mm tube clamps and a dovetail bar.
Aluminium vacuum evaporation system
Vixen has developed a unique aluminium vacuum evaporation system that produces extreme precision mirror surfaces. The revolutionary Vixen system allows for controlled coating of the primary mirror for greater accuracy. This coating is used on both the VC200L and the R200SS.
