That is normal. Finder scopes are only used to make objects easy to locate. The image orientation does not matter for observation.

  • Alt-azimuth: easy to use, moves horizontally and vertically
  • Equatorial: enables precise tracking of objects with only one axis – ideal for high magnifications and astrophotography

  • Moon: from 30 mm
  • Planets: from 100 mm

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC ED APO 127mm f/7.5 FCD-100 CF HEX
Highly corrected 127mm air-spaced triplet apochromat (with three lenses) and carbon fibre tube and a 2.5" high-precision HEXAFOC focuser. NEW: Now with hybrid viewfinder shoe to accept different viewfinder holders.    Apochromats are the ultimate choice in small to medium sized telescopes: the combination of compactness, transportability, very high image contrast and sharpness together with excellent astrophotographic performance cannot be bested. The advances in glass manufacturing during the last few years have made true apochromats available to more astronomy enthusiasts than ever before. The high contrast and sharpness of the image provide breathtaking views of large objects like the North America nebula or the Andromeda galaxy, as well as tack sharp planetary images. The telescope is lightweight and compact - the dew shield slides down the tube to minimize size for transportation. Revolutionary glass and precision manufacturing come together to deliver a telescope that offers observing and imaging at the highest level. The Carbon Fibre construction allows this telescope to be used on lower capacity mounts, increasing convenience and portability. Although there are smaller instruments available, the combination of aperture and optical excellence at such a low weight and compact tube makes this an excellent travel scope. The well-designed 2.5" HEXAFOC focuser with 10:1 reduction is perfect for both visual and astrophotographic use - the large inner diameter of 65mm prevents vignetting by the focuser when the telescope is used for astrophotography with large sensors (full frame and above). We offer the very popular EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Triplet ED APO Refractors in 3 different product lines:Essential Line: HOYA FCD-1 Glass lens, AL-Tube, 2.0" Rack & Pinion Focuser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112084(AL), 0112106(AL), 0112132(AL)), 0112155(CF + 3"FT)). Professional Line: HOYA FCD-100 Glass lens, AL/CF-Tube, 2.5" HEXAFOC Focuser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112086(AL), 0112108(AL), 0112109(CF), 0112134(AL), 0112135(CF))High-End Line: OHARA FPL-53 Glass lens, Carbon(CF) Tube, 3.0" Feather-Touch Focuser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112165(CF))SPECIFICATIONSAperture: 127mmFocal Length: 952mmFocal ratio: f/7.5Design: Apochromat with three lenses, two air spaces and FCD-100 glassWeight: 5.2kg, lightweight due to carbon fibre tubeBackfocus: 150mm above 2" adaptorHybrid viewfinder shoe to accept different viewfinder holdersWHAT'S INCLUDED Optical tube with retractable dew-shield2.5" HEX focuser with 1:10 gear reduction  2" Star Diagonal 99% reflectivityTube rings with dovetail plate and handle Extension tubes for focuser (2pcs)Dust caps for front-lens and focuserHybrid viewfinder shoe

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter Telescope
Maksutov Newton MN-152 David H. Levy Comet Hunter Telescope Highly corrected optic for wide-field observation and astrophotography. Developed in collaboration with the famous "comet hunter" David H. Levy. The Maksutov-Newton system does have some pros and cons respectively to the classical newtonian design. Apart from the higher price the main disadvantage is the higher weight - the thick corrector lens at the front is the cause for this. The main advantage of the Maksutov-Newton compared to the classical newton is the sharpness of the field of view. Classical newtonian telescopes do show a sharp pinpoint star image only at the middle of the field of view - outside the optical axis they have a dominant abberation, the so called coma. This is inherent in the newtonian design, and therefore valid for all newtonian telescopes of all brands and not caused by manufacturing tolerances. Coma distorts the star image - the pinpoint star shows a tail, just like a small comet. This decreases sharpness and contrast considerably. The Maksutov-Newton shows a much sharper star image - for most applications the coma is not visible. This results in a high contrast image all over the field of view - for visual observations and for astrophotography with DSLRs alike. This makes the Maksutov-Newton a ideal all-purpose telescope, that is able to show a sharp field without the need for additional correctors. BRESSER Full HD Deep-Sky Camera & Guider 1.25"
BRESSER Full HD Deep Sky Camera with autoguider: a great camera for different types of astrophotography and for autoguiding. Not only suitable for planets, but also for deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Dedicated ToupSky Astro Imaging software supports video preview, video recording, video processing, image capture and processing, dark field correction and raw data output. Easy to use, but with professional results. One of the main features of the new backlit SONY IMX290 CMOS sensor is its high light sensitivity, which makes it possible to detect deep-sky objects without active cooling. SONY has increased the quantum efficiency at 533 nm wavelength up to 77%, which is much better than other CMOS sensors have been able to achieve in the past. Connect this camera to a guidescope and attach the camera's built-in ST-4 port, directly to your telescope's equatorial mount guide port and autoguide - using many popular audioguiding programs (PHD, Guidedog and more). Autoguiding enables you to take accurate pictures with long exposure times of several minutes. Thanks to the extra light-sensitive camera, you now always have a suitable guide star to hand, even using short exposure times. An ST-4 protocol connection cable is also included. Simple automatic tracking at its best. You can use this camera with all guiding telescopes, or off-axis guiders that accept a 1.25 " tube, 1.25" filter thread (M28.5x0.6) or C-mount adapter thread (1 "x1 /32").
The new Explore Scientific FCD-100 CF Hex represents another major improvement in this field - the overall correction (colour and spherical) is setting new standards in this price class. The optical design shows a polystrehl value of 0.97 indicating a level of correction that is absolutely top of the line. This excellent apochromat is a very versatile telescope: its reasonably fast f-ratio makes for short exposure times when imaging deep sky objects, but it is still of a significant focal length, making higher power planetary and lunar observation comfortable without having to use really high magnification eyepieces.

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 4K DEEP SKY ASTRO Camera & Guider 8,3 MP II
Enter the world of astrophotography now - with the new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 4K DEEP SKY ASTRO Camera including ST4 autoguider function. This is truly new: Equipped with the new high-sensitive IMX585 Exmor CMOS colour sensor, this astronomy camera delivers amazing image results with extremely short exposure times even with basic telescope equipment. In addition, this ultra-modern camera can also be used as an autoguider, e.g. to actively track the main imaging device with an SLR or CCD astro camera. An all-round camera that delivers super-sharp and high-resolution planetary images. The high 4K resolution of 3840x2160 pixels guarantees the best possible image result. Sensor The secret to the high light sensitivity is the new back illuminated Exmor CMOS sensor. It increases the quantum efficiency to up to 77 % at 533 nm, which leads to an extremely high light sensitivity and thus particularly bright and high-contrast photos. In addition, the particularly low noise level of this new CMOS sensor generation ensures exceptionally high brilliance and no active cooling is required. Nevertheless, this astro camera has an elaborate internal structure made of aluminium for ideal heat radiation and a fan that can be switched on via software. When used with suitable telescopes, the high native pixel resolution of 3840x2160 enables very nice overview images of the moon, but also detailed planetary images. Solar Imaging This camera is also recommended for solar astro-photography. Especially the Lunt LS40 THa solar telescopes (item No. 0551145/0551146/0551147), with their short focal length, allow in combination with this planetary camera with its large sensor great overview images of the sun. Important Note: When observing and taking photos of the sun, always use a suitable protective solar filter or a special solar telescope. Otherwise there is a risk of immediate blindness and damage to the camera. Software The included Explore Capture professional software offers not only the necessary basic functions for image and video capture, but also many helpful special functions for image post-processing and for setting up the guider. Functions such as live image display, exposure settings, white balance, dark image capture, stacking, timelapse recording and much more can be configured individually. Especially the very sophisticated software makes it really easy for you to get started in astrophotography. With the automatic settings you can produce absolutely presentable results without a lot of prior knowledge. And when you are ready, simply switch off the automatic settings and gradually venture into the individual professional settings. Automatic tracking control Connect the camera directly to the ST4 port of your telescope mount and you have a fully automatic tracking control. Thus, long exposures of several minutes are possible without the stars producing unwanted star traces due to the always existing periodic error of the telescope mount gears. A corresponding ST-4 connection cable is even included in the camera's scope of delivery. Because of the high light sensitivity of the camera, you will always find a suitable guide star even with very short exposure times. Simple automatic tracking at its best. Connection For the connection to telescopes, guiding scopes or off-axis guiders the camera has a 1.25'' socket with 1.25'' filter thread (M28.5x0.6) and a large T2 connection thread (M42x0.75) directly on the housing. IMPORTANT NOTES: This is not a stand-alone guider camera. You always need a Windows 10 or 11 computer to take pictures and for autoguiding. The autoguider software is not included.
