Product information "EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Deep Sky Astro Camera 7.1MP "
High resolution deep sky camera with large SONY Exmor IMX428 CMOS sensor and active cooling for telescopes with short and moderate focal lengths.

Enter the world of astrophotography now. With the new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC DEEP SKY ASTRO camera you get a modern complete package for the comfortable shooting of astro photos and videos. Finally, an easy-to-use camera for capturing galaxies, star clusters, the moon and even planets with extreme high sensor sensivity and extreme low sensor noise. The high sensitivity enables very short exposure times and the freezing of the air turbulence (seeing) in planetary images. Thanks to the fast USB 3.0 computer interface, all image data is transferred within a few seconds. Long waiting times are now history.

Simply connect the camera to your telescope using the T2 female thread (M42.0.75mm) or the supplied 2'' (50.8mm) plug-in adapter and after installing the drivers and the included EXPLORE Capture recording and editing software, you are ready to take the first real astro photos with a highly specialized camera for your application.

The EXPLORE Capture pro software included in delivery not only offers the basic functions required for image and video capture, but also many helpful special functions for image post-processing and camera setup. Functions such as live image display, exposure settings, white balance, dark image print, stacking, timelapse recording and much more can be configured individually. Especially the very sophisticated software makes your entry into astrophotography really easy. With the automatic settings you can produce absolutely presentable results without any previous knowledge. If you like, simply switch off the automatic settings and gradually dare to adjust the individual professional settings.

The new EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC DEEP SKY camera has a highly sensitive and very low-noise SONY Exmor IMX428 CMOS sensor which is additionally cooled down to 40°C below ambient temperature by the two-stage thermoelectric cooling. In contrast to normal DSLR cameras, this guarantees much lower noise and fewer hot pixels in your shots. The images are not only much sharper and more brilliant, but also contain more usable image information. Through the controlled setting of the desired camera temperature, the creation of dark frames under reproducible shooting conditions is possible at any time. The large-format CMOS sensor with 17,6mm diagonal also allows large image fields and simplifies the adjustment and centering of objects considerably.

The camera has a built-in USB hub with 2 x USB2.0 ports at the rear. Connect your additional autoguider camera or motor focus etc. via a short USB cable and reduce the risk of cable spaghetti and cable breaks. Separate cable connections between your accessories and your computer are no longer necessary.

sturdy hard case for the camera plus accessories is also included.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Don't get confused by the megapixel data and the contrary price structure. In the field of astronomy, the key criterion is not the sensor resolution but the maximum light sensitivity. The main goal is to capture as much light as possible in a short time.

BRESSER Full HD Deep-Sky Camera & Guider 1.25"
BRESSER Full HD Deep Sky Camera with autoguider: a great camera for different types of astrophotography and for autoguiding. Not only suitable for planets, but also for deep-sky objects such as galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. Dedicated ToupSky Astro Imaging software supports video preview, video recording, video processing, image capture and processing, dark field correction and raw data output. Easy to use, but with professional results. One of the main features of the new backlit SONY IMX290 CMOS sensor is its high light sensitivity, which makes it possible to detect deep-sky objects without active cooling. SONY has increased the quantum efficiency at 533 nm wavelength up to 77%, which is much better than other CMOS sensors have been able to achieve in the past. Connect this camera to a guidescope and attach the camera's built-in ST-4 port, directly to your telescope's equatorial mount guide port and autoguide - using many popular audioguiding programs (PHD, Guidedog and more). Autoguiding enables you to take accurate pictures with long exposure times of several minutes. Thanks to the extra light-sensitive camera, you now always have a suitable guide star to hand, even using short exposure times. An ST-4 protocol connection cable is also included. Simple automatic tracking at its best. You can use this camera with all guiding telescopes, or off-axis guiders that accept a 1.25 " tube, 1.25" filter thread (M28.5x0.6) or C-mount adapter thread (1 "x1 /32"). IMPORTANT NOTES: This is not a stand-alone guider camera. You always need a Windows 10/11 computer to take pictures and for autoguiding. The autoguider software is not included. You can use PHD2 Guiding, Guidedog, Metaguide, Guidemaster (freeware) or AstroArt, MaxIm DL (paid). EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC HR Coma Corrector
After three years of testing and refining we are extremely proud to present the new Explore Scientific High Resolution (HR) Coma Corrector. This corrector is a class of it´s own - it is fully functional for visual use and expands the focal length by only 6%! The Explore Scientific Coma Correktor is delivered as a complete set together with a rotating helical focuser with laser-etched scale, so you get a full package: corrector, adaptor to T2 (M42x0.75mm), adaptor to M48 (M48x0.75) and the helical focuser for visual fun. This coma corrector really is "high resolution" - it deliveres a visual polystrehl performance of 0,98 at f/4 and 0,96 at f/3! So it can stay in the telescope - and you will not only enjoy a tack-sharp Jupiter, but aslo sharp and defined moons in the future! What this means in terms of performance is shown in the three pictures with the graphs - the sharpness increase in those comparisons with and without corrector are stunning (examples are 400mm f/4, f/3,5 and f/3). Please notice: These graphs are for FLAT FIELD! You will get this performance without refocussing! Diameter of the field is 30mm - it doesn´t make sense to increase this with 2" and fast optical systems. Length of the 2" corrector barrel is approx. 85mm and it can be used with almost all 2" focusers on the market. To use the HR Coma Corrector visually, you need to have at least 32mm spare inward travel at your focuser, while the focus is on the same plane as the focusers end. Photographically there is no problem - the HR Coma Corrector shifts the focus outward by about 35mm, so that you will have no problem in achieving focus, when you are able to focus your camera without the HR Coma Corrector. FEATURESEliminates coma, field-curvature and astigmatism in newtonians Diffraction limited performance on axis and in the field Flattens the field Works for very fast systems down to f/3 Four-lens construction Can be used with almost all 2" focusers on the market SCOPE OF DELIVERY High Resolution (HR) Coma Corrector Adaptor to T2 (M42x0.75mm) Adaptor to M48 (M48x0.75) Helical focuser

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 3" 0.7x Reducer/corrector
The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 3" 0.7x Reducer/corrector, reduces a compatible telescope's focal length by a factor of 0.7x (for around f/8) and 0.8x (for around f/10) respectively. The reducer/corrector not only reduces the focal length but also flattens the field. Although originally developed for the Explore Scientific ED-APOs 127mm and 152mm, the reducer can be used with many systems - for example with the Explore Scientific ED-APOs 102mm and 165mm (please note, this will not work on the Explore Scientific 80mm ED Apo refractors though). With certain telescope focal lengths, a slight restriction of the correction at the edge of the image field can be expected when using full-frame sensors. This unit comes with 3" barrel adaptor for direct focuser thread M54x0.75 (the standard focuser thread of the Explore Scientific Essential series of ED Apos) and T2 camera adaptor. This reducer/corrector features a free aperture of 65mm, so that it can be used even with cameras that have a large sensor - if the telescope allows for this. Note: As previously mentioned, this Reducer/corrector comes with a screw on ring, which fits the standard focuser thread of the Explore Scientific Essential series of ED Apos. For telescopes which are equipped with the 2.5" HEX Focuser, the optional screw-on adapter part no: 0510366 is needed. Other telescopes, not in the Explore Scientific range, with standard 2" push-fit focusers will need the Explore Scientific 2" Adaptor for 3" Corrector - part no: 0510364 to get this reducer correctly fitted. SPECIFICATIONS Reduces the focal length by 0.7x at f/8 Flattens the field for astrophotography Developed for ED127 und ED152 APO telescopes Also fits Explore Scientific ED102 and ED165 telescopes - and others Free aperture: 65mm Inner thread for telescope adaption: M76x0.75mm Outer thread for camera adaption: M72x0.75mm 3" focuser barrel adaptor included Adaptor for Explore Scientific focuser M54x0.75mm included T2 camera adaptor M42x0.75mm included Diameter: 78.5mm; length: 100mm Length without adaptors: 52mm Weight without adaptors: 530g What's Included Reducer/Flattener 3" focuser barrel adaptor Adaptor for Focuser M54x0.75mm T2 camera adaptor M42x0.75mm Dust caps

BRESSER T2 Extension Tube Set
Set of 5 extension tubes with T2 thread on both sides for exact distances and secure hold of cameras for astrophotography. Also comes with SC to T2 thread adapter. In astrophotography, most cameras are connected to a telescope via a T2 thread (M42x0.75), the most popular international standard. However, in many cases, T2 and T2-ring adapters for connecting telescope focusers to a camera are not sufficient, as specific distances must also be observed. This is especially important when using correctors, reducers or flatteners. This extension tube set, which consists of 5 mm, 7.5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm and 30 mm tubes, will allow you to obtain almost any distance using the corresponding combination. Each tube has a T2 interior thread on one side and a T2 exterior thread on the other side. Most telescopes either include a T2 thread adapter, or the eyepiece can be used with a simple T2 thread adapter with a 2” plug-in diameter (item no. 0510365).However, Maksutov-Cassegrain, Schmidt-Cassegrain, ACF or Ritchey–Chrétien telescopes may use a so-called SC thread. To allow you to use this extension tube set with these telescopes, the set also includes an SD to T2 thread adapter.FEATURES5 T2 tubes with lengths from 5 mm to 30 mmCombination of tubes allows you to obtain distances of 5 mm to 67.5 mmFor exact camera distances in astrophotographyDELIVERY CONTENT5x T2 extension tubes (5/7.5/10/15/30 mm)1x SC to T2 thread adapter

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC ED APO 127mm f/7.5 FCD-100 CF HEX
Highly corrected 127mm air-spaced triplet apochromat (with three lenses) and carbon fibre tube and a 2.5" high-precision HEXAFOC focuser. NEW: Now with hybrid viewfinder shoe to accept different viewfinder holders.    Apochromats are the ultimate choice in small to medium sized telescopes: the combination of compactness, transportability, very high image contrast and sharpness together with excellent astrophotographic performance cannot be bested. The advances in glass manufacturing during the last few years have made true apochromats available to more astronomy enthusiasts than ever before. The new Explore Scientific FCD-100 CF Hex represents another major improvement in this field - the overall correction (colour and spherical) is setting new standards in this price class. The optical design shows a polystrehl value of 0.97 indicating a level of correction that is absolutely top of the line. This excellent apochromat is a very versatile telescope: its reasonably fast f-ratio makes for short exposure times when imaging deep sky objects, but it is still of a significant focal length, making higher power planetary and lunar observation comfortable without having to use really high magnification eyepieces. The high contrast and sharpness of the image provide breathtaking views of large objects like the North America nebula or the Andromeda galaxy, as well as tack sharp planetary images. The telescope is lightweight and compact - the dew shield slides down the tube to minimize size for transportation. Revolutionary glass and precision manufacturing come together to deliver a telescope that offers observing and imaging at the highest level. The Carbon Fibre construction allows this telescope to be used on lower capacity mounts, increasing convenience and portability. Although there are smaller instruments available, the combination of aperture and optical excellence at such a low weight and compact tube makes this an excellent travel scope. The well-designed 2.5" HEXAFOC focuser with 10:1 reduction is perfect for both visual and astrophotographic use - the large inner diameter of 65mm prevents vignetting by the focuser when the telescope is used for astrophotography with large sensors (full frame and above). We offer the very popular EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Triplet ED APO Refractors in 3 different product lines:Essential Line: HOYA FCD-1 Glass lens, AL-Tube, 2.0" Rack & Pinion Focuser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112084(AL), 0112106(AL), 0112132(AL)), 0112155(CF + 3"FT)). Professional Line: HOYA FCD-100 Glass lens, AL/CF-Tube, 2.5" HEXAFOC Focuser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112086(AL), 0112108(AL), 0112109(CF), 0112134(AL), 0112135(CF))High-End Line: OHARA FPL-53 Glass lens, Carbon(CF) Tube, 3.0" Feather-Touch Focuser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112165(CF))SPECIFICATIONSAperture: 127mmFocal Length: 952mmFocal ratio: f/7.5Design: Apochromat with three lenses, two air spaces and FCD-100 glassWeight: 5.2kg, lightweight due to carbon fibre tubeBackfocus: 150mm above 2" adaptorHybrid viewfinder shoe to accept different viewfinder holdersWHAT'S INCLUDED Optical tube with retractable dew-shield2.5" HEX focuser with 1:10 gear reduction  2" Star Diagonal 99% reflectivityTube rings with dovetail plate and handle Extension tubes for focuser (2pcs)Dust caps for front-lens and focuserHybrid viewfinder shoe

BRESSER HD Moon & Planetary Camera & Guider 1.25"
Enter the world of astrophotography now. With the new BRESSER HD moon and planet camera with ST4 autoguider function. This camera is very good for astrophotography with short exposure times, i.e. for celestial objects like the moon, planets or star clusters. For astrophotography with long exposure times for low light deep sky objects, like galaxies and gas nebulae, we recommend the BRESSER Full HD Deep-Sky Camera (Art. No. 4959050) instead, with it's even higher resolution and sensor sensitivity. Equipped with the new high-sensitivity SONY IMX225 CMOS colour sensor, the BRESSER HD moon and planet camera delivers amazing image results with very short exposure times, even with simple telescope equipment. In addition, this ultra-modern camera can also be used as an autoguider, e.g. to actively track the main imaging device with SLR or CCD astro camera. A universal CMOS colour camera that delivers super-sharp lunar and planetary images in particular. The particularly low noise level of this new chip generation from SONY, ensures an exceptionally high brilliance and no cooling is required. Due to the high native pixel resolution of 1280x980, together with suitable telescopes, very beautiful images of the moon, but also detailed planetary images are possible. The ToupSky pro software included in the scope of delivery not only offers the necessary basic functions for image and video recording, but also many helpful special functions for image post-processing and for setting up the Guider. Functions such as live image display, exposure settings, white balance, dark image capture, stacking, timelapse recordings and much more can be individually configured. Especially the very sophisticated software makes it really easy for you to get started in astrophotography. With the automatic settings, you can produce absolutely presentable results without much prior knowledge. If you wish, simply switch off the automatic settings and gradually venture into the individual professional settings. Connect the camera directly to the ST4 connector of your telescope mount and you have fully automatic tracking control. This makes long exposures of several minutes possible without the stars producing unwanted line marks due to the ever-present synchronisation fluctuations of a telescope mount. A corresponding ST-4 connection cable is even included with the camera. Due to the high light sensitivity of the camera, you will always find a suitable guide star even with very short exposure times. For connection to guide tubes or off-axis guiders, the camera has a 1.25" plug-in sleeve, 1.25" filter thread (M28.5x0.6) and C-mount thread (1 "x1/32"). IMPORTANT NOTES: This is not a stand-alone guider camera. You always need a Windows 10 / 11 computer to take pictures and for autoguiding. The autoguider software is not included. BRESSER Mobile Solar Charger 21 Watt with USB and DC output
Self-sufficient travel with the BRESSER solar charger Whether camping, sailing, trekking or swimming at the nearest lake – anyone who enjoys being outdoors for long periods of time does not want to do without their smartphone, tablet, powerbank, etc. But one question quickly arises: where can I find the nearest power socket? After all, every battery runs out and our practical everyday helpers can't manage without electricity. With the ultra-compact BRESSER solar charger, you simply use the power of the sun to charge your devices. The environmentally friendly solar energy is free of charge – and you remain independent of the power grid! Simply open it up, put it down and immediately produce green solar powerThe handling is very simple: unfold the solar panel and align it as perpendicularly as possible to the sun. Then connect the device to be charged to the solar charger, either with a suitable USB cable (not included) or with the included DC connection cable. The charging process begins immediately. Which devices can the solar panel charge? The solar charger gets all devices with a USB power supply connection or the above-mentioned DC power plug connection up and running again in no time – e.g. smartphones, tablets, power banks, portable playstations, MP4 players, GPS devices and Bluetooth headphones. For charging large power stations, we recommend the more powerful BRESSER solar panels with at least 60 watts output power – see art. no. 3810050, 3810060, 3810070.Universal charger with flexible connection optionsOne USB-A connection socket is available for powering your devices. There is also an additional universal connection socket for DC bar plugs with a diameter of 5.5/2.1 mm. A universal connection cable with a 5.5/2.1mm DC bar plug on both sides and a length of 2 metres, as well as 3 plug adapters (3.5/1.35mm, 5.5/2.5mm, 8.0/5.5/0.8mm) are included in the scope of delivery. The polarity of the connectors is as follows: Inner contact = positive (+), outer contact = negative (-). How long does it take to charge a battery? Most modern devices with built-in batteries indicate the current charging status of the battery on a display or status LEDs. The charging process is also automatically terminated by the internal charger of the smartphone or tablet, etc., as soon as the battery is full.Nevertheless, it is helpful to know how long a full charge theoretically takes with an empty battery. This is the only way to choose the right solar panel model for the requirements of the devices you want to charge. Here is a short calculation: Divide the capacity of the battery (mAh) by the charging current of the charger (mA) and multiply this by a factor of 75. This then gives you the approximate charging time in minutes that is required to fully charge the battery at 100% sunshine duration.Example: A battery with a capacity of 3000mAh (3.0 Ah) and a charging current via 5 volt USB connection of 2400mA (2.4 amps). So 3000 : 2400 x 75 = 94 minutes. Dividing the result by 60 gives the charging time in hours: 1.6 hours. This means that an average smartphone can be fully charged in just about 1.6 hours with a 21-watt solar panel. Carabiner hook for attachment included In order to attach the solar panel securely to an object and align it perfectly with the sun, 4 sturdy snap hooks are included in the scope of delivery. Simply connect them to the riveted ring eyelets of the solar panel and use them to hang the solar charger stably, e.g. on a tent loop, a fence or other suitable holding points. If you attach it to your backpack, you can even use the time during a hike for charging. Innovative solar cell technology with high efficiency Monocrystalline silicium cells ensure high efficiency and the fastest possible charging of the device batteries. This means maximum electricity yield per solar surface. As a result, you benefit from relatively high charging currents and short charging times with a compact design.Easy transportThanks to the modern and flat design, you can easily fold the individual segments of the solar panel into a small bag and stow it in your luggage while saving space. Always ready for the next spontaneous use.Robust, dust- and water-repellent materials The durable Cordura fabric is extremely tear-resistant but still flexible. It protects the valuable solar panel from damage and provides the necessary stability during use. The solar panel is dust- and water-repellent, it withstands most weather conditions and is your ideal companion for almost all outdoor activities. Nevertheless, the solar panel should not be exposed to direct rain or extreme humidity.IMPORTANT NOTESThe solar panel does not have an integrated charger or charge controller. Therefore, it is not suitable for directly charging loose battery cells or lead batteries. It is only suitable for smartphones, tablets and power banks, for example, because they always have built-in internal chargers. The solar panel does not have its own battery, but serves exclusively as a power source in sunshine for charging electronic devices. When connecting the devices to be charged via the DC bar plug, always ensure the required voltage and correct polarity. Otherwise, damage may occur to the electronics of the solar panel and the devices to be charged.Do not leave the solar panel outdoors at night with high humidity or in the rain. This could damage the internal electronics.
