FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The weather station displays the sunburn time in minutes so that you know how long you can sunbathe for safely. It also displays the current wind speed using the Beaufort scale. The BRESSER lightning detector keeps you informed during stormy weather. It displays a light signal when it detects a lightning strike within a range of approximately 40 kilometres. To get the most out of the lightning detector, you can connect it to your BRESSER weather centre: from there, you can view the time since the last lightning strike, including the estimated distance, as well as the number of lightning strikes per hour. And to ensure that the lightning sensor is configured to your surroundings, you can choose from 3 different sensor sensitivity levels.

The new NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC WIFI Colour Weather Station with 7-in-1 professional outdoor sensor offers a comprehensive information service. The multifunctional outdoor sensor can easily be installed using the installation accessories supplied!
The sensor reliably transmits measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature, amount of precipitation, as well as UV level and light intensity to the base station via 868 MHz frequency. The console's clearly structured 5.7" colour display shows a large variety of measured local data as well as your station's historically measured values. A reliable local weather forecast is calculated and displayed using weather symbols on the console display for the upcoming 12h. The WIFI function allows users to share their local data via online platforms such as "AWEKAS", ''Weather Underground'' or ''Weather Cloud''. Furthermore, the WIFI function enables Internet time synchronization and firmware updates. You can set a temperature alarm for maximum and minimum values, which triggers both an acoustic and a light signal when the specified value is reached. For outside temperatures from -3°C, a special alarm can also be activated to warn of frost/ice.
A poor indoor climate often poses health risks, especially for children and older people. The BRESSER WIFI colour Weather Station offers a smart feature for this as well. The indoor climate indicator always informs about the indoor climate by means of a symbol.
For all ''moon addicts'' the different phases of the moon are also displayed. An alarm clock with snooze function is also included in the range of functions. You can transmit your weather data to the European Weather platform AWEKAS where you can also retrieve your weatherdata worldwide. Transmit data such as air temperature, humidity, soil temperature and humidity, pool water temperature to your smart home control system, depending on which sensors you have additionally purchased. The new BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 combines in a unique way a compact design with an extensive information service. The very
compact and multifunctional outdoor sensor requires only little space and thus can be placed almost anywhere. A pipe clamp and screws for
the attachment at poles (pipe diameter of about 25-33 mm) as well as a stand are already included!
The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor transfers reliably all measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and
precipitation rate to the base station. On the clearly structured display of the base station not only these values can be read but also a
multitude of history data. The latter allows the internal storage and evaluation of measured data over a period of 24 hours. From the collected
measured data, the weather station calculates a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, depicted by six graphic symbols
on the display. For minimum and maximum values an individual alarm can be programmed, which gives an acoustic and a light signal when the defined
value is reached. For outside temperatures of -3 °C and below a special alarm for frost/ice warning can additionally be activated.
