Dielectric coating on the prisms At dusk and in poor weather conditions, a dielectric coating is worth its weight in gold and allows more light into the prism. This gives a brighter, clearer image so that you can get more out of your observations in poor lighting conditions. Argon shielding gas Argon is neither absorbed by water nor reacts with it. In addition, this high-performance gas retains its protective properties over a much wider range of temperatures than nitrogen. These argon-filled binoculars are suitable for more extreme conditions, and have a longer service life. The gas also prevents the lenses from fogging up from the inside. With the convenient adjustment handle the tripod head can be moved vertically and horizontally; it also can be fastened to provide a steady image for observations.
