FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC VA colour weather station with 4 measuring points in black displays all relevant weather data at a glance. The set includes 3 outdoor sensors and one built-in sensor. On the clearly arranged colour display you will find information such as temperature and humidity for indoor as well as outdoor, as well as the exact time via DCF radio transmission. Besides the built-in sensor in the console unit (display) the station is able to receive the temperature and humidity readings from three additional sensors which are included in this set. Its use is therefore very versatile as the sensors can be placed either in- or outdoors. What's the temperature in the kids room, is the basement too moist how cold is it outside? All these questions can be viewed on one display. The station has a time offset function, so although parts of the UK are technically able to receive the European DCF time signal (southern England), your station will be displaying the UK time. For all parts of the UK where the time signal can not be received the time can easily be set manually with this station. The featured weather forecast is for the coming 12-24h. Weather station with outdoor sensor
The base station can be placed at a distance of up to 80 metres from the wireless outdoor sensor, and displays the outdoor temperature on the built-in screen. When you’re outdoors, you can also view the current temperature on the outdoor sensor’s built-in display.
Monitor the indoor temperature
Thanks to the built-in thermo sensor, the Meteo Temp W weather station also displays the precise indoor temperature to help you maintain a comfortable indoor climate in your living room or study. You can also use the temperature display to help you save energy in the winter: lowering the temperature by 1 degree reduces energy consumption by up to 6%.
Weather forecast function with short-term trend indicator
Sunny, (partly) cloudy, (heavy) rain or snow – the weather station uses six intuitive symbols to display the weather forecast for the next 12 to 24 hours, while the trend arrow shows you the trend for the next few minutes.
Practical frost warning function for cold winter days
The BRESSER weather station also keeps you informed about wintry weather conditions: a snowflake symbols appears on the display when the outdoor temperature falls below 3 °C to warn you about the potential for frosty conditions.
Automatic date and time setting (DCF)
The Meteo Temp W weather station features a date and time display that receives the time automatically from a DCF radio signal (CET time). You can also set the date and time manually to enable use in other time zones.
