Hands-off focusing via hand controller
The included wired hand controller lets you dial in focus from a distance without laying a finger on the telescope. For astrophotography, this is a genuine game-changer: imaging sessions run uninterrupted and your focus stays locked in from first light to the end of the night. Visual observers will appreciate it just as much – precise focus adjustments on demand, no fumbling in the dark.
Autofocus and broad software compatibility
The EAF integrates smoothly with the most popular astro software packages. The ASCOM driver covers the vast majority of Windows-based applications, while full INDI and INDIGO support makes it equally at home on Mac and Linux. If your software includes an autofocus routine, the motor will handle everything automatically – a real asset for long, unattended imaging runs.
Temperature sensor for sharp results all night long
As the night progresses, temperature drops can cause the telescope tube and optics to contract slightly – enough to nudge your focus point off target. The included temperature sensor tracks these changes continuously and, paired with compatible software, compensates for any thermally induced focus shift on the fly. The result: consistently sharp images from dusk till dawn, with no manual intervention required.
Please note: The temperature sensor and hand controller cannot be used at the same time.
