Then the height-adjustable TP-100 DX aluminium tripod from BRESSER is an extremely stable base. With the help of a 1/4 inch photo thread screw, the BRESSER astrophoto mount is firmly attached to the tripod. This allows you to use the astrophoto mount in azimuth mode for time-lapse and panorama shots.
For the production of astronomical photos we recommend the use of the BRESSER Micro Motion Head MH-100 (Polar-Wedge) art. no. 4964140. This is screwed directly onto the tripod head and establishes the connection to the astrophoto mount. The BRESSER StarTracker Astronomical Photo Mount PM-100 is designed for a camera with lens of max. 2.0 kg total weight to carry and track in polar mode. In Azimut mode also a camera weight up to 5.0kg is possible. Large aperture, wide-angle lenses are ideal for the beginning, because the requirements for tracking accuracy accumulate with increasing focal length and exposure time. Thus, a shot with wide-angle lens can be exposed for up to several minutes and the stars remain punctiform without problems. For example, with a 200mm telephoto lens the polar alignment of the photo mount must be exactly right. But thanks to the integrated pole finder tunnel, this is done quickly.
After setting up the light and compact StarTracker Photo Mount, simply set the approximate latitude (pole height) and aim Polaris through the integrated pole finder tunnel. Then mount the camera with the photo lens using the quick-release plate on the supplied ball head. With the ball head, the camera can be aligned and determined at any time on any section of the sky. As soon as the tracking motor is switched on, long-time exposure can be started immediately. This does not even take 5 minutes ... The tracking is carried out by a precise stepper motor, which can be controlled by an easy digital setup on LCD screen. The heart of the SXD2 are the precision stepper motors, offering better performance and response than previous models. The Micro-Step Motion Control System is noted for its powerful yet very quiet driving characteristics, suitable for both fine movements and rapid swivelling.
Built-in bearings
The bearings of the RA and DEC axes and the worm shafts have been significantly improved to reduce the load on the motors. As a result, the motors move much more quietly than in previous models.
High-precision worm gears
Advanced manufacturing technologies have eliminated errors in worm gears. The edges of both the worms and worm gears are exceptionally smooth, allowing very precise tracking.
Declination axis as counterweight
The massive motor units are built into the lower part of the declination axis, lowering the center of gravity of the SXD2 just below the intersection point of the RA and DEC axes. This reduces the need for additional counterweights.
Latitude adjustment
The latitude is adjustable between 0 and 70 degrees (divided into 3 zones and adjustable +/- 15 degrees per zone, for high, medium, and low latitudes); latitude scale in 2-degree steps; fine adjustment with a tangent screw head, about 0.8 degrees per turn.

Waterproof and nitrogen filled
All Pirsch models are waterproof and nitrogen filled. So you have the perfect companion with you in all weather conditions. Rain or fog does not matter to the device. Fogging from the inside in case of large temperature differences is prevented by the nitrogen filling and thus ensures that the device is always ready for use.

Not only for beginners in astrophotography, this mount is particularly well suited, but also the experts swear by a compact and easy-to-use mount to automatically compensate for the natural rotation of the earth. The built-in tracking motor rotates the saddle-mounted camera precisely against the earth's rotation and thus the stars remain in pinpoint shape even with long exposures. If you already own a sturdy photo tripod with a video tilt head you can use the photo mount's head directly with the 1/4 inch & 3/8 inch photo thread holes. The pole height (latitude) is then adjusted by the video tilt head. The BRESSER StarTracker Astronomical Photo Mount PM-100 is designed for a camera with lens of max. 2.0 kg total weight to carry and track in polar mode. In Azimut mode also a camera weight up to 5.0kg is possible. Large aperture, wide-angle lenses are ideal for the beginning, because the requirements for tracking accuracy accumulate with increasing focal length and exposure time. Thus, a shot with wide-angle lens can be exposed for up to several minutes and the stars remain punctiform without problems. For example, with a 200mm telephoto lens the polar alignment of the photo mount must be exactly right. But thanks to the integrated pole finder tunnel, this is done quickly.
After setting up the light and compact StarTracker Photo Mount, simply set the approximate latitude (pole height) and aim Polaris through the integrated pole finder tunnel. Then mount the camera with the photo lens using the quick-release plate on the supplied ball head. With the ball head, the camera can be aligned and determined at any time on any section of the sky. As soon as the tracking motor is switched on, long-time exposure can be started immediately. This does not even take 5 minutes ... The tracking is carried out by a precise stepper motor, which can be controlled by an easy digital setup on LCD screen. Low power consumption allows up to 20 hours of operation with just one battery charge or simply use the micro USB port for an unlimited power supply. The BRESSER BX-10 Pro Tripod with Fluid Pan-and-Tilt Head is a very versatile tripod that is height and angle adjustable. The ball head has a load capacity of 12 kg. This makes the tripod extremely flexible and one can work with different camera models, binoculars, spotting scopes and astronomy binoculars. The non-slip rubber feet are ideal for grip on smooth surfaces indoors, but also offer extremely good grip on muddy, sandy and uneven surfaces outdoors.
This all-round tripod by BRESSER features aluminium alloy tripod legs and a fluid head with a 70 mm diameter base. The four-piece legs are locked with a quick-lock swivel system. The base of the ball head is equipped with a 3/8" mounting thread. For panning and tilting the ball head, the supplied handle is used. This handle can be mounted on the left or right side. Also, the handle can be adjusted in length with a minimum length of 26 cm and a maximum length of 35 cm. The desired length can be fixed with the handle extension lock. The folded tripod has a height of 82 cm and can be extended to a height of 184 cm. If you also extend the centre column, you reach a maximum height of 216 cm. The minimum working height of the tripod is 78 cm. If you spread the legs to their maximum, the minimum working height is 62 cm.
The tripod head allows 360-degree swivels and tilts from +90 to -70 degrees. The quick release plate is universal and features a standard tripod connection (1/4" screw) and a 3/8" screw that allows you to easily mount any camera, binocular adapter, spotting scope or astronomy binocular on the tripod head. Thanks to the built-in level, you can also see if your tripod is level. The unused screw can be turned into the appropriate compartment on the tripod head so that it does not get lost and is always at hand. The quick release plate is secured by a safety device.
The tripod with fluid head weighs 3,786 grams. The center column has a hook that helps to ensure stability. For example, use a sandbag, water bag, backpack and even rocks in a bag to improve balance. A carrying bag is included for easy storage and transportation.
