Product information "BRESSER Stereo Microscope Science ETD-301 7-63x Trinocular Zoom with MikroCam MINI Full HD HDMI Microscope Camera"
The Microscope in Detail
The BRESSER Science ETD-301 is a reflected and transmitted light stereo magnifier with high-quality optics.
It is suitable for use in medicine, agriculture and forestry, criminology, scientific research institutes and schools, as well as for assembly and inspection of small components in precision mechanics and electronics.
The particularly wide base with object table allows viewing of larger objects. The maximum object height is approx. 85 mm. The large working distance of 100 mm enables working with tools, e.g. for preparing or dissecting, measuring or testing.
The instrument features LED reflected and transmitted illumination, which can be used individually or combined and each continuously adjustable. The reflected light incidence angle is particularly user-friendly adjustable. With interchangeable widefield eyepieces (WF10x) and a 9x stereo zoom objective (0.7x - 6.3x), a continuous magnification range of 7x to 63x is realised.
The coarse and fine focusing allows precise sharpness adjustment, especially at high magnifications and for photography.
The eye distance and dioptre adjustment are individually adjustable. The trinocular microscope head can be rotated 360° and has two eyepiece tubes inclined at 45°.
The trinocular tube can carry a DSLR / system camera (APS-C or DX format) or a C-mount camera (sensor size up to 1'') using an optional adapter. A switch diverts the light path of one eyepiece to the camera. This provides 50% light, more than a microscope with a permanent beam splitter.
To connect a DSLR / system camera, the adapter with item no. 5942100 and a camera-specific T2 ring are required.
A C-mount camera is connected with the adapter item no. 5942101.

The Microscope Camera in Detail
The MikroCam MINI Full HD HDMI is a particularly compact HDMI camera. A PC or laptop is not required to operate the camera; you can simply connect the MikroCam MINI Full HD HDMI to an existing monitor, TV, projector or smartboard. This makes it ideal for use in teaching. Alternatively, a small BRESSER monitor can be mounted directly on the camera (see item no. 5914120).
The HDMI connection is easy to make and the camera is ready for use immediately. No software installation, PC setup etc. is necessary. Thanks to lossless data transmission, very good image quality is achieved and the image always has a consistently high frame rate of 60 fps and is delay-free. This is particularly advantageous when a microscope workstation is to be digitised, e.g. in quality control or production.
The supplied USB mouse is connected for control. This allows the three menus (camera settings, measurement* and display) to be controlled.
*To perform measurements with the camera, a calibration slide is required (e.g. item no.: 5916710 or 5916720).
The camera is also very suitable for presentations, as it operates in automatic mode when the mouse is not connected. The menus and mouse pointer are then not visible.
Please note that a direct PC connection is not possible. An HDMI to USB video capture device is required for this. The USB port is only for controlling the camera with the mouse.
