Product information "BRESSER Stereo Microscope Advance ICD 10x-160x Zoom with MikroCam SF UHD Microscope Camera"
The microscope in detail
The BRESSER Advance ICD is suitable as a zoom stereo loupe for a wide range of observations. Objects appear three-dimensional and plastic due to the Greenough design with two inclined objectives. The 3D image also makes working with tools (e.g. preparing, dissecting, soldering) much easier.
The zoom allows stepless adjustment of magnification with a zoom factor of 4.0 (1x-4x). Only minimal refocusing is required when zooming. For this, the Advance ICD has a coaxial focusing drive with coarse and fine adjustment. This allows particularly sensitive focusing, especially at high magnifications or for photography. The fine focus is also a great aid for focus stacking, e.g. with our MikroCam cameras (optional).
The interpupillary distance is individually adjustable. Both eyepiece holders have a dioptre adjustment, allowing differences in visual acuity of up to approx. 8 dpt between the left and right eye to be compensated. The 10x widefield eyepieces with a field number of 22 are equipped with removable rubber eyecups. The microscope head can be adjusted very far in height on the stand rod. This allows very large objects up to an object height of approx. 22 cm to be observed.
The bright LED incident light illumination is adjustable in its inclination. The particularly even and bright LED transmitted light illumination provides a homogeneous background for transmitted light specimens. The illumination can be set with a toggle switch, so incident and transmitted light can be used separately or together depending on the type of sample. You can conveniently adjust the brightness with the dimmer. The bright LED illumination produces no heat, so living samples can be safely observed over a longer period. A low-power 5V power adapter (with Euro and UK adapter) is used to power the long-lasting LED illumination. The power cable has a USB connector on one side.
The Advance ICD can be used in many ways due to the large magnification range. In addition to the included 2x auxiliary lens, further additional objectives are available, allowing you to vary and adapt the magnification range, working distance, and depth of field even further to your requirements.
These magnifications are possible in the basic configuration:
10x eyepieces: 10x - 40x
10x eyepieces plus 2x auxiliary lens: 20x - 80x
20x eyepieces: 20x - 80x
20x eyepieces plus 2x auxiliary lens: 80x - 160x
(further magnifications possible with optional additional objectives or eyepiece magnifications)
The third tube is designed for connecting a camera. A switch deflects the image from the left objective to the camera tube. Various adapters and reduction optics are available for C-mount cameras and DSLR or system cameras, so practically all cameras with removable lenses can be connected.

The microscope camera in detail
The BRESSER MikroCam SF cameras are excellent for taking photos and videos with a microscope. This allows observations of objects to be easily documented and shared with others. The high frame rate of the MikroCam SF series enables the creation of videos with smooth image flow. The built-in Sony sensors offer good image quality, colour reproduction, and dynamics.
The included software supports, among others, the following languages: German, English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Turkish.
The MikroCamLabII software offers a wide range of functions. Essential functions (e.g. exposure time and sensitivity) can be controlled automatically or manually.
Very convenient are the functions for so-called focus stacking (for high depth of field) and the creation of a mosaic or panorama. These two functions can be performed with a previously recorded image series or directly from the live view. Creating depth-sharp images using live focus stacking (EDF) is possible within minutes with the MikroCamLabII software. While you focus on the microscope, the software gradually builds the finished, completely sharp result image without further input. This way, you get impressive, sharp image results in a very short time.
The measurement function* included in the software helps you determine sizes or display a scale. You can measure distances, angles, or areas with just a few clicks. Extensive functions support you, e.g. measuring circles with area and radius or even complex polygons.
Measurements can be performed on the recorded image as well as in the live image. The MikroCamLabII software also has extensive algorithms for automated image evaluation, e.g. for particle counting or area evaluation.
The housing has a C-mount thread and can therefore be used on microscopes from various manufacturers. We are happy to advise you which MikroCam is optimally suitable for your microscope.
For use on devices with a 23.2 mm mount, an optional 0.5x reduction optic (Art. No. 5914015 (fixed), Art. No. 5914005 (variable)) is available. For special applications, e.g. with a C-mount lens, the camera can also be mounted on the integrated 1/4" tripod thread.
*For calibration of the measurement function, a suitable measuring tool is required, e.g.: Art. No. 5916710 or 5916720.
