The BRESSER SILK PLA filament has a silk shimmer for a glossy shine. It boasts great optics and excellent quality: for consistently high-quality print results, even the most minor of impurities is rectified during the manufacturing process. In addition, with its diameter tolerance of ± 0.2 mm, the filament is suitable for use in BRESSER 3D printers and other devices that support PLA material with a 1.75 mm diameter. This filament gives you the beneficial properties of PLA: it is biodegradable, odour-neutral and has a low melting point.
Our recommendations for optimising your printing:
For the SILK PLA filament to work its best during 3D printing, the extruder processing temperature must be between 200 and 250 degrees Celsius. The printing speed should be between 60 and 90 mm/s. We also recommend heating the construction platform to between 40 and 50 degrees Celsius.
Please ensure that the printer’s fan is working correctly and that the appropriate cleaning filter is correctly inserted.

Warning notes
- Fire risk: The nozzle and heated bed of the 3D printer can reach extremely high temperatures during operation. Avoid direct contact with these parts to prevent burns.
- Risk of inhaling fumes: Some filaments may release fumes when heated. Always use the filament in a well-ventilated area. If irritation occurs, stop printing and immediately improve ventilation.
- Fire risk: Store the filament away from open flames, heat sources, and direct sunlight. DO NOT exceed the recommended printing temperature, as this may cause overheating or fire.

- Mechanical risk: Keep hands, hair, and loose clothing away from moving parts during operation to avoid entanglement or injury.
- Store the filament in a cool, dry place. Use airtight containers or resealable bags with desiccants to prevent moisture absorption, which could affect the print quality.
- Disposal: Dispose of used or damaged filament in accordance with local regulations. Do not burn the filament, as toxic fumes may be released.
- Allergy warning: Some filaments may contain materials that can trigger allergic reactions. If skin irritation or other symptoms occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor if necessary.
- Failure to comply with these safety regulations may result in personal injury, damage to the printer, or poor print quality. Always read the entire manual before use.

The Bresser PLA filament material is manufactured with a diameter tolerance of ± 0.2 mm as standard, which allows the use not only for the Bresser 3D printer but also for any third party printer supporting PLA material with a 1.75 mm diameter.
Already during the production the material is monitored for the smallest impurities and therefore you always get the same consistent quality results.
Basic colours: blue, green, black, red, white, neutral.
For optimal processing of the PLA material during printing, we recommend an extruder processing temperature between 190 and 220 degrees C. The optimum printing speed is between 60 and 90 mm/s. We recommend heating the building platform to 40-50 degrees.
Please make sure that the printer fan is working properly and that the appropriate cleaning filter is accurately installed.
