Slides and cover glasses are an indispensable accessory which has also impact on the image quality. For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number 0.17 which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for microphotography, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.The cover glasses included in the set are made of Boro 3.3 glass and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. So they match the desired 0.17mm really good and give the best possible image quality. These Boro 3.3 cover glasses are pure white, without streaks and are pre-cleaned and ready to use. They are also especially suitable for fluorescence microscopy.The slides are made of soda lime glass, and have ground edges for safe handling. They have a matte field for writing on both sides (top and bottom). Slides and cover glasses are packed separately and in a vacuum sealed bag, containing moisture absorbent. They can be stored for a long time without loss of quality from hydrolysis and are easy to take out.

The BRESSER MikroCamII microscope cameras help to make photos and videos with a microscope very easy. The modern Sony® CMOS sensors give brilliant colours with very low noise and is the perfect choice for any application where true natural colours are important. The included imaging software has multiple adjustments for the capture of still images and videos. The integrated measuring* routine allows for a measurement in the camera live image. The software can be operated in the following languages: German, English, French, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Chinese. The camera housing includes the c-mount adapter thread. For use with 23.2 mm adaptations, we recommend the optional, variable 0,5x reducer (item no. 5914005). For special applications, the camera can also be mounted using the 1/4'' camera tripod thread. The BRESSER MikroCamII are equipped with a USB 3.0 port, compared to the MikroCam SP. This enables up to 8 times faster data transfers to the PC compared with the USB 2.0 standard. The camera is able to deliver more than 25 frames per second (depending on resolution, exposure time and PC performance). This is especially important when observing live microorganisms. In addition to this, the camera is exceptionally sensitive. Even in low light conditions (high magnifications, contrast methods) the camera can be operated with short exposure times. An optional 11'' HDMI screen is available under item code 5914110 and can be mounted on the camera directly. It gives brilliant images with high contrast. Microscope images and video can now be stored on a SD card with high resolution (up to 5 MP). The Sony Sensor gives excellent image quality. The camera can be controlled with the included USB mouse directly through the on screen display. The on screen functionality now includes a measuring function as well, so the MikroCam Pro HDMI 5MP upgrades your existing trinokular microscope to a fully equipped digital measuring microscope. With the WiFi module, the camera can also supply the images in a wireless network. Due to this, a permanent connection to a PC via USB is not provided. But the professional software MikroCamLabII is still included with the camera for further image analysis after transferring the stored on SD card. So this camera is recommended for low light contrast methods like darkfield or phase contrast. The autofocus enables the user to focus without using the mechanical focus wheel. When changing the objective, the focus will automatically be adjusted from the camera. The focus range from the "zero" position (which is the standard backfocus for C-Mount) up to 5,4 mm intrafocal to reach CS-Mount distance, and 10,6 mm extrafocal, to cover a wide range. In addition to the autofocus functionality, you can set the focus with the mouse or set a user defined focus range. The camera can be controlled with the included USB mouse directly through the on screen display. The BRESSER 0.5x reduction lens is used to change the image field of a microscope camera. Itallows to zoom in or out. The brightness becomes more intensive, to reduce the exposure time.For trinocular microscopes the adapter allows to adjust the focus to get the same focus for every eyepiece. It is compatible with 23.2 mm eyepiece holders. This adapter is designed for cameras with sensor sizes from 1/2 " or 1/3". The connection is made via 1 " C-mount thread. Extra big cover glasses made from pure white, smooth Borosilicate glass (Boro 3.3). These cover glasses are especially suitable for liquid samples, like plankton or cell culture media. Also useful for skin scrapes from Koi or ornamental fish. You can diagnose a bigger sample volume in one go, making the diagnosis faster and more reliable. The sample will not dry out as fast as usual.Boro 3.3 is a high tech glass material with excellent surface and optical quality. Keep in mind, that the cover glass is not only a cover, but works as an optical element and will influence the resulting image quality. Most microscope objectives are designed for cover glasses of a certain thickness (Usually 0,17mm; marked on the objective).The cover glasses are precleaned and ready to use.Boro 3.3 glass is highly transparent and has excellent surface quality. Microscope slides with a micrometer scale are used for the calibration for measurements.They are used in combination with a micrometer eyepiece or a measurement software (for cameras) in order to measure preparations. The broad scale is suitable for lower magnifications, the fine scale for higher magnifications.

The BRESSER MikroCam II 20 MP 1’’ microscope camera is the professional solution when it comes to microscope imaging. This camera has a big 1’’ sensor (image area 13.06 x 8.8 mm); this is the biggest sensor of the MikroCam camera range. With this camera it is possible to document roughly the same field of view as it can be seen through the eyepiece (e.g. when using a 10x / 22mm). Other models will cover only 50% or less of the eyepiece field of view. The Sony IMX183 CMOS-sensor is very sensitive and has extremely low image noise, which makes this camera especially suitable for contrast methods like dark field or phase contrast. The MikroCam Lab II software comes with a wide range of professional functions, e.g. measurements in live view (calibration slide needed), mosaic, Focus-Stacking (for improved depth of field). All automatic functions (exposure time, gain, white balance etc) can be adjusted manually as well. Due to the big sensor size the camera will not work with all microscope models. It might be possible that the optics will not illuminate the full sensor, so you experience vignetting. Usually this can be resolved by using the optional 1x optical adapter (item no. 5914001). Please note that this camera model is not suitable for the stereo microscope BRESSER Science ETD-201. It will cover only a small field of view.
