Slides and cover glasses are an indispensable accessory which has also impact on the image quality. For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number 0.17 which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for microphotography, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.The cover glasses included in the set are made of Boro 3.3 glass and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. So they match the desired 0.17mm really good and give the best possible image quality. These Boro 3.3 cover glasses are pure white, without streaks and are pre-cleaned and ready to use. They are also especially suitable for fluorescence microscopy.The slides are made of soda lime glass, and have ground edges for safe handling. They have a matte field for writing on both sides (top and bottom). Slides and cover glasses are packed separately and in a vacuum sealed bag, containing moisture absorbent. They can be stored for a long time without loss of quality from hydrolysis and are easy to take out.

The BRESSER Biolux NV comes with a wide range of accessories and is an ideal beginners' microscope. A unique feature of these models, the Barlow zoom system is inside the eyepiece tubes: With the barlow lens the magnification can be  varied by a factor of 2 in visual observation. This feature, together with 3 objectives and 2 interchangeable wide field eyepieces gives a magnification range from 20x to 1280x. With the mechanical desk you can move your sample precisely even when observing at high magnifications. For optimal illumination a variable LED for transmitted and incident light together with a filter wheel gives the ideal light for all samples. Light from above is especially imortant to observe non transparent samples like leaves, small insects and much more. This makes microscopy for beginners very easy! The power is supplied by batteries (3x AA). This is an all purpose instrument amongst the BRESSER microscopes: Being a stereo microscope, which is manufactured in high quality, it offers the option of the biological style, too. This model has  upper and lower LED illuminators for each type of microscope style, which can be operated independently or together. The total intensity of the illuminators can be varied with a dimmer. The binocular head is 360° turnable and provides a comfortable view in all observing positions. The eyepieces can be set on the individual eye relief and with a diopter adjustment on the users eyesight. The BRESSER USB Digital Microscope DST-1028 5MP enables easy and convenient observation of your specimen on the computer with detailed images. The digital handheld microscope is especially suitable for examining material samples, circuit boards and electronic components, but also plants, insects and much more. In addition to applications in school and hobby, the digital microscope is also suitable for tasks in quality assurance. The device features high-quality optics with continuous zoom. This enables documentation of the specimen between 10x and 280x magnifications. Depending on the object to be examined, the appropriate magnification can always be selected. With its ring light, the digital incident light microscope ensures optimal illumination and high-contrast images of your specimen. The ring light consists of eight LEDs. The Bresser cover slips have a size of 22 x22 mm and a thickness range from 0,13 – 0,17 mm. They are used to cover the sample on the slide. A thin and even sample is necessary for observations with high magnification. These cover slips are designed to work with all objectives that have the thickness of 0,17 mm included in their optical design. Usually you find this number printed on the objective. A digital microscope easily brings the microcosmos up on the screen. For a long time, these instruments were common only in the beginner's range. Now, the successful and proven Researcher series makes the step into the digital microscopy world and offers new options for microscopy in schools, for hobby or work. The optics and mechanics is the same as already well estabished in the Researcher Bino and Researcher Trino microscopes. Incuding 4 DIN objectives, Abbe condenser, coaxial fine focus and crosstable, the Researcher LCD is suitable for use in the microscopy hobby as well as in teaching or other work related applications. The highest magnification when using the 60x objective (compares to 600x on non digital microscopes) is high enough to view small microorganisms as microalgae, flagellates and bacteria. Other magnifications (20x, 100x oil) can be added later.
