After entering the basic data such as date, time and location, at least 1 known reference star is approached and confirmed. One of the outstanding features of the MCX telescopes is the very solid fork mount made of die-cast aluminium and the universal field tripod made of stainless steel. Both guarantee a safe stand and as little unwanted vibrations as possible during observation. In addition, the drives in both axes are equipped with precision ball bearings and precision worm gears made of steel and brass. This ensures smooth and quiet star tracking. Adapt your smartphone camera directly behind the SPL26mm eyepiece using the included smartphone holder or mount your camera on the M35 threaded connector and take astro photos of the moon and planets. The 90° flip mirror at the back of the telescope allows a quick and comfortable change between using an eyepiece or a camera. You'll be amazed at what this MCX telescope can do with little effort.

It is important to follow the objects as precise as possible when they rise in the east and sink in the west. For observers it is very easy to keep their celestial object in the middle of the eyepiece for a longer time with a German equatorial/parallactic mount. This possibility of setup (EQ mode) is already included in your new MCX telescope. The so-called polar wedge on the tripod head can be tilted accordingly and adjusted to the latitude of your location. You can therefore quickly switch between these two types of installation (AZ/EQ) - without having to buy extra accessories! Also a fast use of the MCX telescope without tripod only as a table device is possible !

Warning notes
- Check the solar filter before every solar observation and ensure that it is not damaged. Hold it against a strong light source to detect any possible cracks and/or holes. Do not use the telescope for solar observation, even if the solar filter is only slightly damaged. In this case, contact the manufacturer for the appropriate replacement parts.
- Always use the included solar filter when observing the sun. Make sure it is correctly attached to the telescope according to the instructions. The use of the solar filter is only intended in connection with this telescope.
- Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a certified protection filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope opening, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the concentrated light beam through the optics will immediately destroy the filter foil, leading to severe eye damage, including permanent blindness.
- Check the secure fit of the solar filter before each solar observation. An accidental detachment from the objective opening can lead to immediate and permanent eye damage and blindness.
- If the solar filter cannot be securely attached to the tube, improve the fit by placing several self-adhesive felt strips or similar between the solar filter and the objective opening. Never use the solar filter if it cannot be properly mounted on the telescope. In such a case, always contact our customer service first.
- Be extremely cautious when observing the sun. A brief look through the unprotected optics will immediately cause severe eye damage, potentially leading to complete blindness.
- Children should not look at the sun through the telescope, even with the filter properly installed. Never leave children unsupervised.
- Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their eyesight.
- Do not observe the sun after eye surgeries or other eye conditions without prior medical consultation.
- Wrinkles/creases in the film are normal and do not indicate a product defect.
- Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
- BATTERY WARNING AND SAFETY Safe handling and use of batteries and accumulators Read and follow these instructions before using the battery or accumulator. To the extent permitted by law, failure to comply with these warnings and instructions may result in any damage caused to your product not being covered by the warranty. In this document, the term "batteries" also includes accumulators. Follow these instructions to ensure optimal safety and performance: DO NOT use counterfeit batteries in products. Only use supplied batteries. Use the battery SOLELY for its intended purpose. Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets. DO NOT use batteries that appear to be damaged, swollen, or modified. Do not use batteries that are leaking, emitting a smell, swollen, melted, or showing dents, rust, cracks, or scratches. Charging may be temporarily suspended if the battery temperature exceeds 60 °C (140 °F). If the battery is hot but the temperature is under 60 °C (140 °F), the battery will still charge, but more slowly than usual. Avoid dropping the battery or the product with the battery inside. Camera-Adapter M35/T2 for Bresser MC/MCX-100 and MC/MCX-127 Maksutov telescopes
The BRESSER Camera-Adapter M35/T2 for MC/MCX100/127 is principally designed to connect a DSLR camera (with appropriate manufacturer-specific T2 T-ring, available separately) to the Bresser MC-100 and MC-127 Maksutov telescopes which have a built-in M35 connecting thread. You can also use wider-bodied astronomical cameras (non-c-mount), which have T2 threads built into their bodies, as standard with this camera adapter. This adapter can be separated into two different lengths of 30mm and 80mm (which both truncate in a T2/M42 thread). The use of these different lengths of extension tube allows the user to vary the projection of image on to a camera chip and get the best framing for the size of object being imaged.
Please note: an extra camera specific T2-adapter ring (Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc.) is necessary to connect a DSLR. Many of these are available from us and you are welcome to contact us for advice if unsure which of these to pick.WHAT'S INCLUDED

Dedicated ToupSky Astro Imaging software supports video preview, video recording, video processing, image capture and processing, dark field correction and raw data output. One of the main features of the new backlit SONY IMX290 CMOS sensor is its high light sensitivity, which makes it possible to detect deep-sky objects without active cooling. SONY has increased the quantum efficiency at 533 nm wavelength up to 77%, which is much better than other CMOS sensors have been able to achieve in the past.
Connect this camera to a guidescope and attach the camera's built-in ST-4 port, directly to your telescope's equatorial mount guide port and autoguide - using many popular audioguiding programs (PHD, Guidedog and more). Autoguiding enables you to take accurate pictures with long exposure times of several minutes. Thanks to the extra light-sensitive camera, you now always have a suitable guide star to hand, even using short exposure times. An ST-4 protocol connection cable is also included. Simple automatic tracking at its best.
You can use this camera with all guiding telescopes, or off-axis guiders that accept a 1.25 " tube, 1.25" filter thread (M28.5x0.6) or C-mount adapter thread (1 "x1 /32").
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is not a stand-alone guider camera. You always need a Windows 10/11 computer to take pictures and for autoguiding.

One of the main features of the new backlit SONY IMX290 CMOS sensor is its high light sensitivity, which makes it possible to detect deep-sky objects without active cooling. SONY has increased the quantum efficiency at 533 nm wavelength up to 77%, which is much better than other CMOS sensors have been able to achieve in the past.
Connect this camera to a guidescope and attach the camera's built-in ST-4 port, directly to your telescope's equatorial mount guide port and autoguide - using many popular audioguiding programs (PHD, Guidedog and more). Autoguiding enables you to take accurate pictures with long exposure times of several minutes. Thanks to the extra light-sensitive camera, you now always have a suitable guide star to hand, even using short exposure times. An ST-4 protocol connection cable is also included. Simple automatic tracking at its best.
You can use this camera with all guiding telescopes, or off-axis guiders that accept a 1.25 " tube, 1.25" filter thread (M28.5x0.6) or C-mount adapter thread (1 "x1 /32").
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is not a stand-alone guider camera. You always need a Windows 10/11 computer to take pictures and for autoguiding.

Great telescope for night and solar observation.The BRESSER Messier 8'' dobsonian is simply a breakthrough. Despite of its low price this telesccope offers a versatility and quality rivaling a lot more expensive telecopes. The optical diameter of 203mm (8'') does not restrict your observations on solar system objects like the moon or the planets - you can reach farther into the sky and explore globular and open clusters, nebulae and galaxies. With that telescope those objects are beginning to show structures: globular clusters are no longer only fuzzy blobs, but are resolved into masses of individual stars. Nebulae, that can only be barely detected in smaller scopes, reveal structures within. The telescope is setting a new standard in versatility: the excellent Hexafoc focuser boosts a free diameter of 65mm (2,5'') so that you do not have vignetting in big widefield eyepieces that is caused by smaller focuser barrels. The big altitude wheels handle those big, heavy eyepieces without problems - and when you intend to load even more (like a binocular viewer with two eyepieces) then you can move the tube in its tube rings and achieve balance within seconds. The excellent rigidity of the focuser makes focusing a snap - even for astrophotography. This is another virtue of this highly versatile telescope system: you can remove the altitude wheels from the tube rings, attach a dovetail and use the optical tube on a equatorial mount for astrophotography - in minutes. The focuser is handling even heavy cameras tilt and shifting-free. You are extremely demanding in your image sharpness? No problem - with the optional 10:1 gear reduction sharp images are easy. If you consider, that the focuser is that part of the telescope that is used most often, you will recognize the quantum leap this Hexafoc represents in a telescope of this price range.
With the included standard accessories (6x30 finder and 25mm SPL-eyepiece) the telescope is ready for observing.
If you need to transport or store the telescope as compact as possible you will like this: the rocker box of the 8'' BRESSER Messier assembles and disassembles extremely easy and fast due to the use of metal standard furniture fasteners. So you can transform the bulky rocker box into a handy flat package of boards.
This telescope is setting a new standard in usability, versatility and performance in its price class.Please note: Reflector telescopes with optical design Newton are very good for astronomical observing at the starry night sky. But these telescopes are not well usable for observing landscape and nature during daylight. Therefore we suggest BRESSER refractor (lens) telescopes for landscape and nature observing.
