Warning notes
  • Check the solar filter before every solar observation and ensure that it is not damaged. Hold it against a strong light source to detect any possible cracks and/or holes. Do not use the telescope for solar observation, even if the solar filter is only slightly damaged. In this case, contact the manufacturer for the appropriate replacement parts.
  • Always use the included solar filter when observing the sun. Make sure it is correctly attached to the telescope according to the instructions. The use of the solar filter is only intended in connection with this telescope.
  • Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a certified protection filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted in front of the telescope opening, not at the eyepiece. Otherwise, the concentrated light beam through the optics will immediately destroy the filter foil, leading to severe eye damage, including permanent blindness.
  • Check the secure fit of the solar filter before each solar observation. An accidental detachment from the objective opening can lead to immediate and permanent eye damage and blindness.
  • If the solar filter cannot be securely attached to the tube, improve the fit by placing several self-adhesive felt strips or similar between the solar filter and the objective opening. Never use the solar filter if it cannot be properly mounted on the telescope. In such a case, always contact our customer service first.
  • Be extremely cautious when observing the sun. A brief look through the unprotected optics will immediately cause severe eye damage, potentially leading to complete blindness.
  • Children should not look at the sun through the telescope, even with the filter properly installed. Never leave children unsupervised.
  • Never leave the optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their eyesight.
  • Do not observe the sun after eye surgeries or other eye conditions without prior medical consultation.
  • Wrinkles/creases in the film are normal and do not indicate a product defect.
  • Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
  • BATTERY WARNING AND SAFETY Safe handling and use of batteries and accumulators Read and follow these instructions before using the battery or accumulator. To the extent permitted by law, failure to comply with these warnings and instructions may result in any damage caused to your product not being covered by the warranty. In this document, the term "batteries" also includes accumulators. Follow these instructions to ensure optimal safety and performance: DO NOT use counterfeit batteries in products. Only use supplied batteries. Use the battery SOLELY for its intended purpose. Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets. DO NOT use batteries that appear to be damaged, swollen, or modified. Do not use batteries that are leaking, emitting a smell, swollen, melted, or showing dents, rust, cracks, or scratches. The battery should NOT be disassembled, crushed, punctured, shredded, or otherwise tampered with. The battery should NOT be exposed to liquids. Liquid may penetrate the battery's circuits, causing corrosion and compromising its safety. A wet or damp battery should NOT be dried with a device or heat source (e.g., hairdryer or microwave). The device or battery should NOT be placed near a heat source or direct sunlight. High temperatures can cause the battery to swell, leak, or malfunction. Examples include placing the device near a radiator, stove, kitchen appliance, iron, fireplace, or inside a vehicle or next to a window in direct sunlight. The battery should NOT come into contact with metal objects. If metal objects such as jewelry come into prolonged contact with the battery terminals, the battery may become very hot or catch fire. The battery should NOT be stored together with hazardous or flammable materials. Store the battery in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. The battery should NOT be inserted incorrectly when charging. MAKE SURE the battery compartment is empty, dry, and free of dirt before inserting the battery. The battery should NOT be charged in direct sunlight or at extreme temperatures. The battery must be charged at room temperature, typically between 20 °C and 26 °C (68 °F-79 °F). Charging may be temporarily suspended if the battery temperature exceeds 60 °C (140 °F). If the battery is hot but the temperature is under 60 °C (140 °F), the battery will still charge, but more slowly than usual. Avoid dropping the battery or the product with the battery inside. If dropped onto a hard surface, the battery or product may be damaged. If you suspect the battery might be damaged, replace it. Never leave your mobile hotspot plugged into the power supply for more than 24 hours to charge. Let the battery drain and then recharge it. Keeping your mobile hotspot plugged into a charger without draining the battery can damage the battery/device or affect performance. If a battery shows a significantly shorter runtime than when purchased, it has reached the end of its reasonable lifespan. We recommend replacing it. For optimal results and performance, batteries should be replaced after 12 months or earlier depending on usage. Follow local regulations for the disposal of used batteries. Do not throw the battery into fire or water.

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 2" O-III Nebula Filter
One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the solar systems enormously. Depending on the type of the celestial object it is possible to increase the contrast dramatically by blocking the annoying artificial light. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III filter uses a characteristic property of the so called emission nebulae. Those objects glow in special colours, the so called emission lines. Those emission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case oxygen. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC O-III nebula filter blocks all other colours (and thereby nearly all of the artificial light) and only the two emission lines of the oxygen can pass the filter. The result is astonishing: suddenly nebulae are visible at locations that were completely empty without filters. In suburban skies for example the veil nebula NGC 6992 is almost not visible with a 200mm telescope. By using this filter you can see the nebula and its structures without problems. A must for every visual observer. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC nebula filters come with a individual test certificate - your guarantee to receive a premium filter.FEATURESenables the observation of so called emission nebulaeblocks almost the entire artificial lightonly the two emission lines of ionised oxygen passes the filterWHAT'S INCLUDED1x 2" O-III nebula filter

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 2" UHC Nebula Filter
One of the most important obstacles for the exploration of the night sky is the brightening of the night sky by artificial lights, such as streetlights. The night sky is not really dark in the vicinity of towns or cities, which reduces the visibility of objects beyond the solar system enormously. Depending on the type of the celestial object, it is possible to dramatically increase the contrast by blocking annoying artificial light. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC UHC filter "zeros in" on the wavelengths of so-called emission nebulae. Those objects glow in special colours - their emission lines. Those emission lines are linked to chemical elements - in this case hydrogen at 486nm and 656nm, plus oxygen at 496nm and 501nm. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC UHC nebula filter blocks all other colour wavelengths (and thereby nearly all of artificial light) and only the emission line of the hydrogen and oxygen can pass the filter. The result is astonishing: suddenly nebulae are visible at locations that were completely invisible from, without filters. In suburban skies, for example the Owl-nebula M97, the Veil-nebula NGC 6992 or even the bright Dumbell-nebula M27 are not clearly visible. Using this filter allows you to see nebulae and their structures in much finer detail. A must for every visual observer. EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 2" CLS Nebula Filter
Besides air turbulence, the brightening of the night sky is the biggest obstacle to observing faint objects beyond the solar system. Street lamps and other artificial lighting mean that the sky in human settlements is no longer really black. This affects the contrast and thus the perception of deep-sky objects. Depending on the type of celestial object, however, part of disturbing artificial light can be filtered out, making it easier to observe fainter targets. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC CITY LIGHT SUPRESSION - or CLS - filter uses the fact that the artificial lighting is not evenly distributed over the entire spectrum. These colours - in the case of the EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC CLS nebula filter, above all the typical colours of mercury and high-pressure lamps, used in street lighting - are suppressed, but the emissions of deep-sky objects are allowed through. With a slightly brightened sky, some relatively bright deep-sky objects are practically invisible with a telescope, for example the large galaxy M101. Using this filter makes observation much easier. A must have for any visual amateur astronomer.  The CLS can also be used as a useful photographic filter - helping to improve the quality of your telescopic deep sky photos. The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC nebula filters are delivered with an individual test report - so you can be sure of receiving high-quality filters.SPECIFICATIONS:eliminates disturbing light - e.g. from street lightingenables observation of faint deep sky objectsWHAT'S INCLUDED:1x nebula filter

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Filter Set 1 Moon & Planets from 50mm (2'')
Filter Set 1 is recommended for Moon & Planets from 50mm (2'') Aperture Set 1 includes the following filters: Explore Scientific Filter 1.25" Light Yellow No.8 - 0310268 Watching the Moon surface through the filter, the contrasts will enormously increase. Same with planet Mars. On the huge planet Jupiter, when using the filter, you can even see the contrasts between the cloud-bands and a lot more details. Starting with a telescope diameter of 8“ and a clear sight, you even get to see various details of Saturn. Explore Scientific Filter 1.25" Orange No.21 - 0310273 This one really supports the detection of the dark areas on the planet Mars. The details of the clouds of Saturn and Jupiter are also so much more visible through the Filter. Explore Scientific Filter 1.25" Blue No.80A - 0310264 The color of light blue really supports watching the high clouds on Mars. The contrast increases. The dark red structures will be shown even darker, so this is the perfect filter for watching the big red Flecks on the gas planet Jupiter. The rings of Saturn will be accentuated, the structures of the Venus Atmosphere will be even finer. EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 1.25" Filter Grey ND0.9 - 0310245 The neutral density filter transmits light uniformly across the entire visual spectrum. It serves as an excellent filter to reduce glare and irradiation when observing the Moon with any telescope 4"(10.2cm) and larger. The ND96 filter may also be employed in the splitting of close double stars where one of the binary pair significantly exceeds the other in brightness. What ist a color Filter for and do we really need it? Color Filters darken the light slightly, that reaches the eye or the sensor of the camera. This eliminates for instance stronger transitions. The result is that your picture turns out with more contrast which automatically shows more details. FEATURES Made from high-quality optical glass Filter glass is absolutely parallel All optical surfaces have anti reflex coatings Filter housing from black anodized aluminum Filter threads on both ends (female/male) Multiple filters usage is possible SCOPE OF DELIVERY 4pcs color filter 4pcs protection-case

BRESSER Twilight I telescope mount with tripod
The Twilight I is a light-to-medium-duty alt-azimuth mount with tripod designed to quickly and easily accept small to medium sized refractors, such as the AR102 + AR127s or ED102mm + ED127, and of course, the ED80mm. Lightweight, fast Newtonians will also match up nicely with the BRESSER Twilight I mount. As long as your telescope does not exceed 18 pounds and has a Vixen-Style Universal Dovetail bar for mounting the telescope to the mount head, you are good to go. The Twilight I alt-azimuth mount head is made of powder-coated aluminum and there are worm gears on both axes. The adjustable angle head can be tilted forward or back at a 45° angle to allow more clearance for your telescope so you can point it straight up for viewing at the zenith. The Allen hex wrench for doing the mount head adjustment can be safely stored at the integrated magnetic holder.  Slow-motion control cables are attached on the vertical and horizontal axes, and are easy to turn during the night, even with gloves on, due to the over-sized knurled knobs that are attached to the end of each cable. They can be attached to either side of each axis to accommodate right or left-handed users, or different types of telescopes (e.g. refractors vs. Newtonian reflectors) for ease of adjustment. The stainless steel tripod that comes standard with the Twilight I mount has adjustable legs and a wide foot print of 42 inches, which makes the tripod more stable. A spreader bar locks against the inside of the legs to secure the tripod even further, and keep vibrations to a minimum. SCOPE OF DELIVERYTwilight I Telescope MountStainless Steel Field tripod

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 52° LER Eyepiece 4,5mm Ar
High power eyepieces (e.g. 3mm to 10mm) are used not only for obvious observations of planets and double stars, but can be employed for bright, compact deep sky objects. Not only will the scale of an object like a planetary nebula or globular cluster be impressive as it fills the eyepiece FOV, but the background sky will be very dark as the contrast effect increases with added magnification, provided that the atmospheric seeing conditions are favorable enough to reveal a sharp image. The 4.5mm is a popular choice for a wide variety of telescopes, producing some of the highest magnification views that most astronomers will observe at.Comfort, Quality, Value. The Explore Scientific 52° LER Series Most short focal length eyepieces are excellent flat-field multi-element oculars that can transform your visual astronomy experience. Astrophotographers will love this telescope - a optional field flattner is available and makes the telescope perfect even for cameras with a large chip format. These very popular EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC Triplet ED APO Refractors we do offer in 3 different product lines:Essential Line: HOYA FCD-1 Glass lens, AL-Tube, 2.0" Rack&Pinion Focusser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112084(AL), 0112106(AL), 0112132(AL)), 0112155(CF + 3"FT)) Professional Line: HOYA FCD-100 Glas lens, AL/CF-Tube, 2.5" HEXAFOC Focusser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112086(AL), 0112108(AL), 0112109(CF), 0112134(AL), 0112135(CF))High-End Line: OHARA FPL-53 Glass lens, Carbon(CF) Tube, 3.0" Feather-Touch Focusser with 1:10, 2.0" Star Diagonal 99% Reflectivity (see Part No. 0112165(CF))FEATURESthree lens air-spaced ED-apochromatHoya FCD01-ED glasspolystrehl of above 0.9weight: 2,6kgbackfocus: 165mm above 2" adaptorSCOPE OF DELIVERYOptics with dovetail plate and finder slot 2" Star Diagonal 99% reflectivityDust caps for front-lens and focuser
