FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

This could be formaldehyde (HCHO) or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), which can enter our ambient air through things like furniture, materials, tobacco smoke, paints or adhesives. A useful extension to your BRESSER weather station, or also ideal as a practical standalone solution: This PM2.5/PM10 particulate meter will help you to keep track of the air that you breathe. The high-precision meter reliably detects two types of health-relevant particulate matter that causes air pollution: particles with a diameter of less than 10 μm (PM10) and less than 2.5 μm (PM2.5). Measurements – the current reading and the average particulate concentration from the past 24 hours – are displayed on the built-in display and on your weather centre. Whether it’s the washing machine in your basement or the dishwasher in the kitchen, old appliances are susceptible to water leaks.
