Uses The BRESSER digital microscope is perfect as a workshop microscope, such as for examining material samples, circuit boards and electronic components. It’s also useful for measurements, quality control of surfaces or testing of raw materials with the large field of vision and the right magnification through the high-quality zoom lens. The measuring microscope also allows for biological examination of plants and insects in detail on the high-resolution, movable 17.8 cm (7”’) colour LCD screen. The perfect tools for the job – such as for identifying plant diseases and pests in horticulture and agriculture. The powerful lens offer amazing insights into the microcosm, including in school and amateur use. With the enclosed 100 mm extension for the tripod, you can also examine workpieces located at height, or benefit from the large field of vision up to max. 34 x 70 mm and a working distance of up to 195 mm. Illumination In order to illuminate the objects that you are examining evenly, without shadows, the reflected-light microscope has 3 light sources: 1 ring light with 6 LEDs and 2 gooseneck LED spotlights. The brightness of the lights can be easily controlled via the LED touch bar. Recording function Extensive analyses easily and efficiently: With the integrated camera, you can document your examinations in photo and video format. Using the remote control can also help to prevent camera shake. With the click of the mouse, the recordings can then be saved to a Micro SD card (up to 64 GB, not included) via the on-screen menu. No need for a PC or other external device for your work. As the zoom can be focused to infinity, the digital microscope can also be used as a webcam. If required, you can easily attach the lens, including the screen, to a standard tripod using the integrated tripod connection thread. The digital BRESSER Biolux Touch HDMI microscope is the perfect tool to do it. It is very versatile, ideal for school and hobby. You can easily view the image on the touchscreen.  The integrated, high quality 5MP camera sensor captures images and HD videos directly onto an SD card (SD card not included).The camera is controlled via the touch screen with an intuitive and multi language user menu. This high-quality set combines the professional ETD-201 stereo microscope, the modern MikroCam Mini HDMI microscope camera, and a 13.3-inch HDMI monitor into a powerful unit for precise analyses, visual documentation, and live presentations.The Microscope in DetailThe BRESSER Science ETD-201 is an optically high-quality reflected and transmitted light stereo microscope. It is suitable for use in medicine, agriculture and forestry, forensics, scientific research institutes and schools, as well as for assembly and inspection of small components in precision mechanics and electronics. The particularly wide base with object table and the exceptionally large height adjustment range allow observation of larger objects. The instrument features LED reflected and transmitted illumination, which can be used individually or combined and each dimmed steplessly. The reflected light incidence angle is especially user-friendly adjustable and lockable. With interchangeable widefield eyepieces (WF10x) and a 6.25x stereo zoom objective (0.8x-5x), a continuous magnification range from 8x to 50x is realised. The click-stop zoom locks at predefined positions, so magnifications can be exactly reproduced, e.g., for measurements at the microscope. The eyepieces have a field number of 22, allowing a visible field of view between 4.5 and 27.5 mm. The eye distance and dioptre adjustment are individually adjustable. The trinocular microscope head can be rotated 360° and features two eyepiece tubes inclined at 45° as well as a separate, parfocally adjustable camera tube for connecting a C-mount camera, or MikroCam, up to a 1/2" sensor size. A PC or laptop is not required to operate the camera; you can simply connect the MikroCam MINI Full HD HDMI to an existing monitor, TV, projector or smartboard. This makes it ideal for use in teaching. Alternatively, a small BRESSER monitor can be mounted directly on the camera (see item no. 5914120). The HDMI connection is easy to make and the camera is ready for use immediately. No software installation, PC setup, etc. is necessary. Thanks to the lossless data transmission, very good image quality is achieved and the image is always displayed with a consistently high frame rate of 60 fps and without delay. This is especially advantageous when a microscope workstation is to be digitised, e.g., in quality control or production. The supplied USB mouse is connected for control. This allows the three menus (camera settings, measurement* and display) to be controlled. *To perform measurements with the camera, a calibration slide is required (e.g., item no.: 5916710 or 5916720). The camera is also very suitable for presentations, as it operates in automatic mode when the mouse is not connected. The menus and mouse pointer are then not visible. Please note that a direct PC connection is not possible. An HDMI to USB video capture device is required for this. The USB port is only for controlling the camera with the mouse. The screen delivers brilliant images without artefacts, as the display has the same resolution as the camera's output image. With the set of MikroCam and HDMI display, almost any trinocular microscope with camera connection can be upgraded to a digital microscope. This allows observation independently of a PC. The size of the display is optimally chosen so that the microscope user can microscope as usual and simultaneously view the image on the monitor. The display delivers optimal image quality with a wide viewing angle of 178°! This allows several people to view the image without loss of quality. The image from the microscope camera is always displayed on the HDMI screen without delay and with a high refresh rate of 60 FPS. Displaying via HDMI microscope camera on an HDMI monitor is therefore usually of better quality than using a USB camera on a laptop or PC. This is particularly advantageous when work under microscopic control is to be carried out. Many users also benefit from improved ergonomics when viewing the image on the HDMI display. Especially higher magnifications with their high numerical aperture are unpleasant for eye problems such as floaters (vitreous opacities). Digital viewing can provide relief here. The display can be powered with the supplied Y-cable using the same power supply as the camera. A suitable short, angled HDMI cable is also included to avoid cable clutter at the workstation. With battery powered LED lighting it can be used anywhere, e.g. for fieldwork or excursions. The microscope can be used on a great variety of subjects, for example thin sections, pond life, or blood smears.
