  • General safety instructions DANGER Risk of suffocation! Improper use of this product can result in suffocation, especially for children. Therefore, carefully observe the following safety instructions. Keep packaging materials (plastic bags, rubber bands, etc.) away from children! There is a risk of suffocation! Keep cords, ribbons, and similar materials away from children! They could accidentally strangle themselves and suffocate! NOTE Risk of material damage! Improper handling can damage the device and/or accessories. Therefore, only use the device according to the following safety instructions. Do not dismantle the device! In the case of a defect, contact your dealer. They will contact the service center and may send the device in for repair.
  • BATTERY WARNING AND SAFETY Safe handling and use of batteries and accumulators Read and follow these instructions before using the battery or accumulator. To the extent permitted by law, failure to comply with these warnings and instructions may result in any damage caused to your product not being covered by the warranty. In this document, the term "batteries" also includes accumulators. Follow these instructions to ensure optimal safety and performance: DO NOT use counterfeit batteries in products. Only use supplied batteries. Use the battery SOLELY for its intended purpose. Keep batteries out of the reach of children and pets. DO NOT use batteries that appear to be damaged, swollen, or modified. Do not use batteries that are leaking, emitting a smell, swollen, melted, or showing dents, rust, cracks, or scratches. The battery should NOT be disassembled, crushed, punctured, shredded, or otherwise tampered with. The battery should NOT be exposed to liquids. Liquid may penetrate the battery's circuits, causing corrosion and compromising its safety. A wet or damp battery should NOT be dried with a device or heat source (e.g., hairdryer or microwave). The device or battery should NOT be placed near a heat source or direct sunlight. High temperatures can cause the battery to swell, leak, or malfunction. Examples include placing the device near a radiator, stove, kitchen appliance, iron, fireplace, or inside a vehicle or next to a window in direct sunlight. The battery should NOT come into contact with metal objects. If metal objects such as jewelry come into prolonged contact with the battery terminals, the battery may become very hot or catch fire. The battery should NOT be stored together with hazardous or flammable materials. Store the battery in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. The battery should NOT be inserted incorrectly when charging. MAKE SURE the battery compartment is empty, dry, and free of dirt before inserting the battery. The battery should NOT be charged in direct sunlight or at extreme temperatures. The battery must be charged at room temperature, typically between 20 °C and 26 °C (68 °F79 °F). Charging may be temporarily suspended if the battery temperature exceeds 60 °C (140 °F). If the battery is hot but the temperature is under 60 °C (140 °F), the battery will still charge, but more slowly than usual. Avoid dropping the battery or the product with the battery inside. If dropped onto a hard surface, the battery or product may be damaged. If you suspect the battery might be damaged, replace it. Never leave your mobile hotspot plugged into the power supply for more than 24 hours to charge. Let the battery drain and then recharge it. Keeping your mobile hotspot plugged into a charger without draining the battery can damage the battery/device or affect performance. If a battery shows a significantly shorter runtime than when purchased, it has reached the end of its reasonable lifespan. We recommend replacing it. For optimal results and performance, batteries should be replaced after 12 months or earlier depending on usage. Follow local regulations for the disposal of used batteries. Do not throw the battery into fire or water.

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GOTO Mount (Refurbished)
NOTE: This item is a used or returned product. This means: The item may show slight signs of use and the packaging may differ from the original packaging. Please note that refurbished items generally come with a 12-month warranty.THE PMC-EIGHT GOTO SYSTEM JUST AWARDED A SKY AND TELESCOPE HOT PRODUCT FOR 2018.The Explore Scientific EXOS2-GT with PMC-8 Electronics is quite unique and special. Most of the serious amateur mounts on the market today offer single processors. The PMC-8 electronics are extremely robust. They include a 2-Channel Multi-Processor Micro-controller with 8 CPUs that run independently and are completely deterministic in their behavior, thus the name PMC-8. Within this multi-processor system is a 64 Kbyte EEPROM Non-Volatile Memory bank used to store parameters; a Wireless Ethernet 10/100 with full IP function which permits operation from anywhere using a browser, ASCOM, or APP over the web or serial port; and Non-Volatile Memory used to store user selected parameters. The electronics also includes an Auto-Guide port (ST4 contact input) and features the only wireless ASCOM driver on the market. The belt driven system uses 2 timing pulleys (1-45 groove and 1-10 groove) with fiberglass re-enforced neoprene belt connected to a Nema11 bi-polar stepper .67 amps 12ncm motor then connected to the worm. Precise ball bearings in both axes ensures minimal backlash at all nine possible tracking speeds. The included battery pack (12 V) takes eight size "D" batteries. The head rests on a very tough and rigid stainless steel tripod with adjustable 2" legs from 26.8" to 42.5" and can support up to 28 lbs. of equipment. This system is all controlled from a tablet, notebook or desktop pc with 7" display and WIN8.1, WIN10+11, iOS or Android 4.4 with a beautiful full graphical user interface using our very own ExploreStars OpenGoto® Software. The ExploreStars OpenGoto® Software has the same basic functions as most all other mounts on the market today. ExploreStars is a free App downloadable from the Microsoft App store and GooglePlay. The basic download includes a standard 2 star or 3 star alignment procedure, over 70,000 star database, the Messier Catalog and Solar System objects. The software interface features a Classic four-button pattern for guiding, centering, moving and slewing on the touch screen of your tablet or phone. Pull-down menus open to offer the intuitive 2 star and 3 star alignment procedure, selection of the various catalogs, guided tours, the sync button, the park position, search feature and the coordinate input screen to enter RA and DEC coordinate information. Numerical key pad allows for selectable and user enterable GOTO speeds for slewing, centering and guiding rates. You can also set sidereal, king, lunar, solar, and user defined tracking rates. What makes this software different is that YOU can write your own code and import it into this software. Create a Messier challenge. Create a selectable list of objects you want to photograph and program that information into the software. With the ability to write your own code, you can create whatever your heart desires. Share it with the community of astronomers that are using this software. In addition, this mount can be controlled by any ASCOM compliant software using the built-in wireless ASCOM driver. GPS-compatible and auto time / date settings are dependent on optional receiver on computer, tablet or phone. Here are most of the ASCOM software packages available for use with the Explore Scientific / Losmandy G-11 with PMC-8 mount: ACP; APT; AST / ATC & Ricerca (Omega Lab); AstroArt; AstroMB; Cartes du Ciel / Sky Chart; CCD AutoPilot; DeepSky; Deepsky Planner; DFM Engineering; Earth Centered Universe Pro; EasySky; Eye and Telescope; Project Pluto; Hallo Northern Sky; Maxim DL; MaxPoint; PinPoint Astrometric; Prism; Sequence Generator Pro; Sidereal Technology; The Sky; SkyMap Software; SkyTools 3; Star Atlas PRO; Sky Observer; StarryNight; Stellarium; Virtual Moon Atlas; and WorldWide Telescope.VIDEO REVIEW:https://youtu.be/tmNPajsd9H4 IMPORTANT NOTE:To start using ExploreStars app, download the free app and download the celestial data set that contains the astronomical catalogs, reference images, and reference text. Simply by unzipping the ExploreStars folder containing the expanded celestial data set into your Pictures directory, you will expand the native database from a thousand objects to over seventy thousand objects.SOFTWARE DOWNLOAD: https://explorescientificusa.com/pages/software-and-downloads-for-pmc-eight-systemFEATURESUnique PMC-8 Open Goto SystemBeautiful full graphical user interface using our very own ExploreStars OpenGotoWifi controlled by Tablet, Notebook or Desktop PC with 7" or larger display, and Wifi function (not included)Needed system software of optional computer or tablet: WIN8.1, WIN10/11, iOS or Android 4.4 or higherClassic four-button pattern and joystick for guiding, centering, moving and slewing on the touch screenIntuitive 2 star and 3 star alignment procedureMultiprocessor Micro Controller with 8 CPU´sMicro-Stepper Motors NEMA-11Highly accurate and silent Belt-Drive SystemST-4 compatible autoguider portASCOM Driver available: YES, supports also Pulse-GuidingYOU can write your own code and import it into this softwareGPS-compatible and auto time / date settings are dependent on optional receiver on computer, tablet or phoneSCOPE OF DELIVERYExplore Scientific EXOS2-GT with Open GOTO PMC-8Stainless steel tripod with 2" legs and bubble levelCounter weight 2 x 4,5 kgPolefinder with illumination unitPower supply 12 volts / 2,0 ampereExploreStars Software via downloadIMPORTANT NOTE: This package doesn´t include any WINDOWS/iOS/Android Computer or Tablet.FAQ / KNOWLEDGE-BASE: https://explorescientificusa.com/pages/explore-scientific-knowledge-base-and-faqsPMC-Eight GROUPS: https://espmc-eight.groups.io/g/MAIN

EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC 82° Ar Eyepiece 4,7mm (1,25")
Explore Scientific 82° Series™ extreme wide field eyepieces are optimized to produce high contrast, high resolution, and superior flat field characteristics. The visual effect of these eyepieces with their long eye-relief and their 82° apparent field is truly a full-immersion experience. Your eye is relaxed, allowing you to easily use the "averted vision" technique to study faint details across a huge field-of-view. The 82° Series eyepieces come with a twist-up rubber eye-guard that raise to the desired height for the comfort of the observer, and as experienced astronomers know, eye comfort is critical when trying to observe at the visual limits of the telescope. To keep internal reflections to a minimum, all internal surfaces of the eyepiece barrel are flat black, as well as the edges of the lenses themselves to minimize the scattering of light within the lenses themselves. All 82° Series eyepieces are fully multi-coated and edge-blackened to produce maximum contrast.
