For most biological microscopes, the cover glass thickness is an important optical parameter, which is therefore included in the optical design and, if so, printed on the sleeve of every objective. You can usually see the number 0.17 which is the thickness in millimeters. For demanding applications in the laboratory, or for microphotography, using cover glasses with the desired thickness and high quality is necessary.The cover glasses included in the set are made of Boro 3.3 glass and are standardized to a thickness of 0.16-0.19mm. So they match the desired 0.17mm really good and give the best possible image quality. These Boro 3.3 cover glasses are pure white, without streaks and are pre-cleaned and ready to use. They are also especially suitable for fluorescence microscopy.The slides are made of soda lime glass, and have ground edges for safe handling. They have a matte field for writing on both sides (top and bottom). Slides and cover glasses are packed separately and in a vacuum sealed bag, containing moisture absorbent. They can be stored for a long time without loss of quality from hydrolysis and are easy to take out.

The new BRESSER WIFI ClearView Weather Station with 7-in-1 sensor offers a very comprehensive range of weather data. The multifunctional outdoor sensor can easily be installed with the included mounting accessories! The outdoor sensor reliably transmits measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature, precipitation, as well as UV level and light intensity via 868 MHz frequency to the base station. The base station shows a large variety of current and historical local weather data on its 8.3'' TRUE BLACK colour display. The latter allows internal storage and evaluation of the measurement data over a period of 24 hours. A very reliable forecast for the upcoming 12h is calculated by your local weather data which will be displayed on the base station. The WIFI function allows users to share their local data via apps such as 'Weather Underground'' or ''Weather Cloud''. In addition, the WIFI function enables Internet Time Synchronization and firmware updates. An alarm can be individually programmed for maximum and minimum values, which triggers both an acoustic and a light alarm signal when the specified value is reached. Due to the moderate magnification range of 15-45x, the handy BRESSER Spektar can be used without the necessity of a tripod. Placing it on a parapet, a branch, etc. is usually sufficient.
