FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

Simply have a quick look at the intuitive LCD display to keep an eye on the CO2 concentration, temperature and humidity. You don't need to worry about remembering what constitutes a critical carbon dioxide level - the intuitive graphical display with a linear scale and smiley face will show you the quality of the air in your surroundings. The measurements are precise, with high resolution and fast.

The practical carbon dioxide alarm reminds you when you need to let in some fresh air. If the default setting is different to your ideal indoor climate, you can configure your own limit up to a maximum of 5000 ppm. The alarm function can then be activated with a simple button press. If the preset limit is exceeded, the alarm will sound at a varying intensity depending on the CO2 concentration. The display will also show a flashing arrow symbol to remind you to open the windows.
Humidity is also an important factor, as high humidity levels can cause mould to form. The BRESSER VentAir Thermo-/Hygrometer offers an innovative room ventilation recommendation. Thanks to this ventilation notification, possible mould infestation due to excessive humidity can be prevented. Alternatively, too dry heating air can also be prevented by selective airing.
The station can be operated and set very quickly using the touch screen. The BRESSER lightning detector keeps you informed during stormy weather. It displays a light signal when it detects a lightning strike within a range of approximately 40 kilometres.
