A digital microscope easily brings the microcosmos up on the screen. For a long time, these instruments were common only in the beginner's range. Now, the successful and proven Researcher series makes the step into the digital microscopy world and offers new options for microscopy in schools, for hobby or work. The optics and mechanics is the same as already well estabished in the Researcher Bino and Researcher Trino microscopes. Incuding 4 DIN objectives, Abbe condenser, coaxial fine focus and crosstable, the Researcher LCD is suitable for use in the microscopy hobby as well as in teaching or other work related applications. The highest magnification when using the 60x objective (compares to 600x on non digital microscopes) is high enough to view small microorganisms as microalgae, flagellates and bacteria. Other magnifications (20x, 100x oil) can be added later. The Researcher LCD is also compatible with our plan-achromatic objectives designed for 160mm optical tube length.The integrated, modern Sony camerasensor IMX206 with 16MP gives a brilliant image with good contrast on the monitor. The user can change settings and capture images and video conveniently with the touch screen. Images with 16MP and Full HD video can be stored directly on SD card (SD card not supplied). The microscope also has a HDMI connection, so the image is easily shown on a big monitor, TV, beamer or smartboard. The results can be shared with a bigger audience in lectures or teaching. With its 8.9 cm (3.5") LCD monitor, this student microscope allows several people to view objects at the same time. The microscope can be used for both transmitted light and (limited) reflected light microscopy. You can take photos of your observations or record them as a movie. The device has a card slot for SD cards and a USB port (for transferring photos/videos saved on an SD card). The magnification is 50-500x, the digital magnification reaches up to 2,000x (4x digital zoom). It is supplied with a comprehensive range of accessories. Thanks to the integrated LED incident light illumination, even opaque objects can be viewed without time-consuming preparation. Objects up to 3mm high can be viewed, e.g. small insects, plant parts, sand and much more. This allows children in particular a quick and uncomplicated introduction into microscopy. Transmitted light microscopy then opens up the world of cells and microorganisms. It doesn't just have to be permanent specimens; an onion skin, tiny moss leaves or water plant leaves already clearly show the structure of the plant cells. The BRESSER Biolux NV comes with a wide range of accessories and is an ideal beginners' microscope. A unique feature of these models, the Barlow zoom system is inside the eyepiece tubes: With the barlow lens the magnification can be  varied by a factor of 2 in visual observation. This feature, together with 3 objectives and 2 interchangeable wide field eyepieces gives a magnification range from 20x to 1280x. With the mechanical desk you can move your sample precisely even when observing at high magnifications. For optimal illumination a variable LED for transmitted and incident light together with a filter wheel gives the ideal light for all samples. Light from above is especially imortant to observe non transparent samples like leaves, small insects and much more. This makes microscopy for beginners very easy! The power is supplied by batteries (3x AA). The bright LED illumination is adjustable with a dimmer. The Abbe condenser is height-adjustable and centring, and equipped with an iris diaphragm. The Bresser cover slips have a size of 22 x22 mm and a thickness range from 0,13 – 0,17 mm. They are used to cover the sample on the slide. A thin and even sample is necessary for observations with high magnification. These cover slips are designed to work with all objectives that have the thickness of 0,17 mm included in their optical design. Usually you find this number printed on the objective.
