FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
- Sample too thick / unsuitable: Use thin samples or fixed smears.
- No cover glass or incorrect thickness: Objectives are optimized for cover glasses.
- Condenser incorrectly adjusted: Do not open the diaphragm too far – otherwise contrast will be low.
- Magnification too high: Rule of thumb: maximum 1000 × objective aperture. Example: With a 40x objective with aperture 0.65, the limit is about 650x.

The BRESSER Analyth STR 10x - 60x Stereo Reflected and Transmitted Light Microscope features 3 different objective magnifications (1x, 2x, 3x), which can be easily switched by rotating the objective. This allows for magnifications of 10x, 20x, 30x, 40x and 60x.
Two eyepiece pairs with 10x and 20x magnification are included. They are secured with a small screw to prevent them from falling out.
The stereo design provides a particularly vivid and three-dimensional view of structured objects. The low initial magnification of 10x is especially suitable for working with children. This allows objects up to 20 mm in size to be viewed in full. The Analyth STR is therefore extremely versatile. It is suitable for insects, plants, minerals and much more, and can be used for hobbies, in schools and in professional settings. Of course, the stereo microscope can also be used for quality control, in horticulture and agriculture, for water analysis and many other applications.
Interpupillary distance and dioptre adjustment can be set individually. The eyepieces offer a large field of view and can be fitted with rubber eyecups.
The microscope can be powered either via the mains adapter or with 3 AA batteries (not included). Thanks to the practical carrying handle, it can be used on the go – for example, in the garden or during field trips.
