With its 8.9 cm (3.5") LCD monitor, this student microscope allows several people to view objects at the same time. The microscope can be used for both transmitted light and (limited) reflected light microscopy. You can take photos of your observations or record them as a movie. The device has a card slot for SD cards and a USB port (for transferring photos/videos saved on an SD card). The magnification is 50-500x, the digital magnification reaches up to 2,000x (4x digital zoom). It is supplied with a comprehensive range of accessories. Thanks to the integrated LED incident light illumination, even opaque objects can be viewed without time-consuming preparation. Objects up to 3mm high can be viewed, e.g. small insects, plant parts, sand and much more. This allows children in particular a quick and uncomplicated introduction into microscopy. Transmitted light microscopy then opens up the world of cells and microorganisms. It doesn't just have to be permanent specimens; an onion skin, tiny moss leaves or water plant leaves already clearly show the structure of the plant cells. Water samples from a pond, aquarium or watering can contain numerous ciliates, rotifers and other protozoa. The BRESSER USB Digital Microscope DST-1028 5MP enables easy and convenient observation of your specimen on the computer with detailed images. The digital handheld microscope is especially suitable for examining material samples, circuit boards and electronic components, but also plants, insects and much more. In addition to applications in school and hobby, the digital microscope is also suitable for tasks in quality assurance. The device features high-quality optics with continuous zoom. This enables documentation of the specimen between 10x and 280x magnifications. Depending on the object to be examined, the appropriate magnification can always be selected. With its ring light, the digital incident light microscope ensures optimal illumination and high-contrast images of your specimen. The ring light consists of eight LEDs. The brightness can be conveniently controlled with the dimmer, which is integrated in the USB connection cable. The microscope has a stable, adaptable metal stand, which can be adjusted in height depending on the object height and magnification used. This makes it possible to examine both larger and very flat objects (e.g. printing documents). It is suitable for use in medicine, agriculture and forestry, forensics, scientific research institutes and schools as well as for assembly and inspection of small components in precision mechanics and electronics. The particularly wide base with object table and the exceptionally large height adjustment range allow the observation of larger objects. The instrument features LED reflected and transmitted illumination, which can be used individually or combined and each dimmed steplessly. The reflected light incidence angle is particularly user-friendly adjustable and lockable. With interchangeable widefield eyepieces (WF10x) and a 6.25x stereo zoom objective (0.8x-5x), a continuous magnification range of 8x to 50x is realised. The click-stop zoom locks at predefined positions, so that magnifications can be exactly reproduced, e.g. for measurements on the microscope. The eyepieces have a field number of 22, allowing a visible field of view between 4.5 and 27.5 mm. The eye distance and dioptre adjustment are individually adjustable. The trinocular microscope head can be rotated 360° and has two eyepiece tubes inclined at 45° as well as a separate, parfocally adjustable camera tube for connecting a C-Mount camera, or MikroCam, up to a 1/2" sensor size. The modern Sony® CMOS sensors deliver brilliant colours with overall very low image noise and are therefore the perfect solution for applications where natural colour reproduction is important. The included capture software offers numerous settings for capturing single images and videos. An integrated measurement function* allows measurement already in the live image. The included software supports the following languages: German, English, French, Polish, Turkish, Chinese. The housing features a C-Mount connection thread. For use on devices with 23.2mm mount, an optional variable reduction optic 0.5x (Art. No. 5914005) is available. For special applications, the camera can also be mounted on the integrated 1/4'' tripod thread. Compared to the MikroCam SP, the BRESSER MikroCamII is equipped with a USB 3.0 connection. This allows up to 8 times higher data rates than USB 2.0 connections. The cameras are thus capable of transmitting more than 25 frames per second (depending on resolution, exposure time and computer performance). This is especially important for living microorganisms. The camera is exceptionally light-sensitive, allowing short exposure times even at high magnifications or demanding contrast methods.
