FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The BRESSER water detector triggers a 90 dB alarm tone when it detects a leak. If the sensor is connected to your BRESSER weather station, a symbol will also appear on the display of your base station, allowing you to take action before the water causes serious damage.

This is where the heat stress index comes into play, calculated by the weather station. It is based on the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature, which considers the key heat factors in the environment. The four warning levels help you stay safe and healthy on hot days.

How clean is the air you breathe? The local AQI (Air Quality Index) shows you directly whether the air in your surroundings is clean.
