FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

Whether it’s the washing machine in your basement or the dishwasher in the kitchen, old appliances are susceptible to water leaks. The BRESSER lightning detector keeps you informed during stormy weather. It displays a light signal when it detects a lightning strike within a range of approximately 40 kilometres. To get the most out of the lightning detector, you can connect it to your BRESSER weather centre: from there, you can view the time since the last lightning strike, including the estimated distance, as well as the number of lightning strikes per hour. And to ensure that the lightning sensor is configured to your surroundings, you can choose from 3 different sensor sensitivity levels.

This could be formaldehyde (HCHO) or Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), which can enter our ambient air through things like furniture, materials, tobacco smoke, paints or adhesives. The new BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 COLOUR combines a compact design with an extensive information service in a very unique way. The small-sized multifunctional outdoor sensor is very place-saving and can be placed almost everywhere. A pipe clamp and screws to mount it to a pole (tube diameter about 25-33 mm) as well as a stand are already included!The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor transfers reliably the measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and precipitation amount to the main station. On the clearly structured display of the main station not only current values but also numerous of historical data can be displayed. This allows for the internal saving and evaluation of the measured values over a period of 24 hours. From the collected data the weather station determines a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, which is displayed on the screen by 6 graphical symbols.
For maximum and minimum values an individual alert can be programmed which gives both an acoustical as well as a light signal when the predetermined value is reached. For outdoor temperatures below -3 °C a specific alert can be activated as frost / ice warning.

Furthermore the BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 disposes of a radio controlled time and date setting (DCF time signal). Just a few minutes after switching on the weather station the current Central European Time and the date with weekday are automatically set. An alarm clock with snooze function are also part of the scope of features.
A new feature of this weather station is the colour change of the display when the outdoor temperature changes. So one can easily see from the colour of the display if it's weather for a jacket or a t-shirt.
