FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

Additional base station – monitor the indoor climate in another room
If your existing base station is in the living room, you can place a second base station in the kitchen or your child’s bedroom to view your local weather data in an additional room. The base station features a built-in thermo-hygro sensor, which measures the ambient temperature and humidity and displays a smiley symbol to indicate the quality of the indoor climate. You can then take effective measures to prevent the risk of mould or dry air.
The additional base station is also ideal as a bedside clock. It features a built-in backlight that can be dimmed or switched off completely to ensure you get a good night’s sleep. But wouldn’t it also be great in the bedroom, so that as soon as you’ve switched off the alarm you’ll know whether blue sky and sunshine await? With this additional BRESSER base station, you don’t need to decide on just one room. Simply connect to your 7-in-1 external sensor and you have immediate access to your measured values in another room. You can count on the usual functions whenever you need them, including reliable local weather trend forecasts for the next 12 hours, displayed as graphics, so know when to organize a spontaneous BBQ. In the winter months, the frost alarm will alert you when the external temperature falls below -3 °C: Caution, risk of black ice! You can also see the date, day of the week, time and moon phases so you have an idea of the ‘signs of the times’. Are there early signs of mould formation in your bathroom? Is the air in your children’s bedroom too dry because of the central heating? The additional BRESSER base station allows you to respond to unusual situations like these with utmost flexibility, as two stations mean two separate measured results for indoor temperature, humidity and air pressure. Position the device in a critical location and the integrated sensor will measure the current room temperature, humidity and air pressure at that location. A graphical room climate indicator will alert you when the air is optimal, too dry or too damp. In addition, you can also set an independent maximum/minimum value alarm with audible and light signal on the additional station itself.
On the road often? In addition to the base station at home, you can use the WiFi function to access your measured data through weather portals such as AWEKAS any time, anywhere. Or, use AWEKAS to transmit your data to your Smart Home controller.

Great telescope for night and solar observation.The BRESSER Messier 8'' dobsonian is simply a breakthrough. Despite of its low price this telesccope offers a versatility and quality rivaling a lot more expensive telecopes. The optical diameter of 203mm (8'') does not restrict your observations on solar system objects like the moon or the planets - you can reach farther into the sky and explore globular and open clusters, nebulae and galaxies. With that telescope those objects are beginning to show structures: globular clusters are no longer only fuzzy blobs, but are resolved into masses of individual stars. Nebulae, that can only be barely detected in smaller scopes, reveal structures within. The telescope is setting a new standard in versatility: the excellent Hexafoc focuser boosts a free diameter of 65mm (2,5'') so that you do not have vignetting in big widefield eyepieces that is caused by smaller focuser barrels. The big altitude wheels handle those big, heavy eyepieces without problems - and when you intend to load even more (like a binocular viewer with two eyepieces) then you can move the tube in its tube rings and achieve balance within seconds. The excellent rigidity of the focuser makes focusing a snap - even for astrophotography. This is another virtue of this highly versatile telescope system: you can remove the altitude wheels from the tube rings, attach a dovetail and use the optical tube on a equatorial mount for astrophotography - in minutes. The focuser is handling even heavy cameras tilt and shifting-free. You are extremely demanding in your image sharpness? No problem - with the optional 10:1 gear reduction sharp images are easy. If you consider, that the focuser is that part of the telescope that is used most often, you will recognize the quantum leap this Hexafoc represents in a telescope of this price range.
With the included standard accessories (6x30 finder and 25mm SPL-eyepiece) the telescope is ready for observing.
If you need to transport or store the telescope as compact as possible you will like this: the rocker box of the 8'' BRESSER Messier assembles and disassembles extremely easy and fast due to the use of metal standard furniture fasteners. So you can transform the bulky rocker box into a handy flat package of boards.
