FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
The symbol flashes when the air pressure drops sharply within a short period of time. This indicates that a storm or strong winds are very likely approaching. As soon as the air pressure stabilizes, the flashing will stop automatically – it therefore serves as a storm warning.
Please proceed as follows:
Tips:
- Remove all batteries from the base station and the outdoor sensor.
- Wait at least 3–10 minutes.
- Insert the batteries into the base station.
- Once the indoor temperature is displayed, insert the batteries into the outdoor sensor.
The signal should now be detected and the outdoor temperature displayed.
Tips:
- If problems occur, replace all batteries with fresh, non-rechargeable brand batteries. Different battery types or charge levels may cause interference.
- Do not place the base station near other electronic devices (this may interfere with reception).
- If necessary, choose a different location for the base station.
If pressing the “DCF” button on the back does not help, reset the station:
- Briefly press the reset button on the back with a pen
- If necessary, place the station closer to a window, as reception inside buildings may be limited

The new BRESSER Weather Station 5-in-1 COLOUR combines a compact design with an extensive information service in a very unique way. The small-sized multifunctional outdoor sensor is very place-saving and can be placed almost everywhere. A pipe clamp and screws to mount it to a pole (tube diameter about 25-33 mm) as well as a stand are already included!
The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor transfers reliably the measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and precipitation amount to the main station. On the clearly structured display of the main station not only current values but also numerous of historical data can be displayed. This allows for the internal saving and evaluation of the measured values over a period of 24 hours. From the collected data the weather station determines a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, which is displayed on the screen by 6 graphical symbols. For maximum and minimum values an individual alert can be programmed which gives both an acoustical as well as a light signal when the predetermined value is reached. For outdoor temperatures below -3 °C a specific alert can be activated as frost / ice warning. A bad room climate often carries a health risk particularly for children and the elderly. The new design of the National Geographic Colour Display Weather-Station impresses with an excellent performance and excellent value for money. The weather station combines a compact design with a comprehensive information service. The new, unique colour display offers clear information and an ideal overview in an elegant design. The multifunctional outdoor sensor with its very compact design can be set up in almost any location. A pipe clamp and screws for attachment to masts (pipe diameter approx. 25-33 mm) as well as a stand for level mounting are already included in the scope of delivery! The 5-in-1 outdoor sensor reliably transmits measured values for wind speed, wind direction, humidity, temperature and amount of precipitation to the base station. On the display of the base station not only these values, but also a variety of history data can be read. The latter enables the internal storage and evaluation of the measurement data over a period of 24 hours. From the collected measurement data, the weather station calculates a very reliable local weather trend forecast for the next 12 hours, which is shown on the display by six graphic symbols.
An alarm can be individually programmed for maximum and minimum values, which triggers both an acoustic and a light signal when the specified value is reached. For outside temperatures from -3 °C, a special frost/ice warning alarm can also be activated.
A poor indoor climate can pose health risks, especially for children and elderly people. The National Geographic Weather Station also offers a smart feature for this purpose.
