Education
You can only broaden your horizons through curiosity and quality education.
Education is especially close to our hearts. That is why we support numerous projects that introduce young people to nature at an early age, broaden their horizons, and inspire an interest in STEM subjects. At the same time, adults can also continue to explore new perspectives together with us and our partners.
At our headquarters in Rhede, we offer school classes and kindergartens guided company tours, giving tomorrow’s researchers their first insights into outer space and the microscopic world. In addition, we cooperate with regional educational institutions such as the LWL Textile Museum Bocholt to make science, technology, and history tangible and engaging.
Furthermore, we participate in the “Abenteuer Unternehmen” (“Business Adventure”) project organized by the Alliance for Families in Rhede, Bocholt, and Isselburg, as well as with Klausenhof, and host inspiring demonstrations and training presentations.
Bochum Observatory
In addition to its important scientific work, the extensive educational programs offered by Bochum Observatory are particularly noteworthy. From kindergarten children and school pupils to university students and interested retirees, the aim is to inspire people of all ages with astronomy, space exploration, and environmental topics. Since BRESSER’s diverse product range is also designed to engage everyone, we are delighted about this successful partnership.
Josef-Bresser Observatory
We were already involved in the establishment of the Josef-Bresser Observatory, which bears the name of our company founder. To this day, BRESSER considers it an honor to support the observatory in Hoxfeld and assist the Sternfreunde Borken association in its work.
Little Scientists Foundation
The Little Scientists Foundation is committed to providing high-quality early education in STEM subjects. Its forward-looking goal is to equip children with the skills they need to think independently and act responsibly through inquiry-based learning. BRESSER is proud to support such a great initiative by providing microscopes and accessories for the foundation’s mobile research lab. It visits kindergartens and primary schools, enabling children to explore the fascinating world of the microcosmos.
Support Association of Rhede Comprehensive School
As part of our collaboration with the local comprehensive school, we regularly invite interested students to gain insight into our company through internships. This gives young people the opportunity to experience our day-to-day operations and various business areas firsthand. Our goal is to support their career orientation and provide valuable first experiences in the professional world.
YouArePlanet
Through his astronomy channel “YouArePlanet” and numerous educational programs, Rouven Bertling inspires children, families, and astronomy enthusiasts with the wonders of the universe. Since BRESSER is equally committed to making astronomy accessible to people of all ages, we are delighted about this successful collaboration.
Stars Shine For Everyone
We regularly donate telescopes to the organization “Stars Shine For Everyone.” These telescopes are signed by astronauts such as Alexander Gerst and astrophysicists like Reinhard Genzel before being donated to special education schools.

Social Responsibility & Health
Health and social strength go hand in hand – nurtured through understanding, movement, and curiosity.
It is very important to us to share our success with the region and with people who need support and can benefit from it. For this reason, we participate in the Wirtschaftsdialog Rhede business network, are actively involved in the Rheder Modell, and support the City of Rhede’s RHEDENSwert store both financially and through consulting. In addition, every year we donate numerous products for a wide variety of occasions brought to us from all directions, such as summer festivals, club events, charity functions, raffles, and tombolas.

German Red Cross
The German Red Cross deserves every possible support for its extensive and important work. We want to do our part and regularly donate both funds and products from our range. Our employees also contribute to the valuable work of this humanitarian organization: each year, they donate the remaining cents “after the decimal point” from their salaries to the German Red Cross. We are delighted by this commitment and match the donated amount ourselves.
OneDollarGlasses
We know better than most how much the right optics can change a person’s life. That is why, through our membership in OneDollarGlasses, we regularly donate funds to provide eyeglasses for people with impaired vision in developing countries for just one dollar. Thanks to this wonderful project, many people are able to see clearly for the very first time.
DKMS
Almost everyone knows someone in their personal circle who has been affected by cancer. Unlike many other forms of cancer, leukemia is a disease where we can actively help. That is why we stand together in the fight against blood cancer. As part of this initiative, BRESSER covers the registration costs for employees who wish to join the donor registry. We are especially proud that two of our employees have already been able to help as donors – one of them saved the life of a young girl, while the other supported a woman in the United States through a stem cell donation.

We firmly believe that everyone deserves an opportunity and that diversity is a valuable asset. That is why we support refugees in building a future in Germany by offering internships and employment opportunities.

That is why BRESSER replaces conventional lighting with LED technology, reuses cardboard packaging, reduces the use of fully printed cartons, utilizes shipping document pouches made from 100% recycled plastic film, relies on online catalogs, and eliminates plastic from product packaging. We are proud that every employee supports our commitment to treating the environment responsibly. After all, we all want to continue exploring nature for many years to come!
ÖKOPROFIT
ÖKOPROFIT stands for outstanding environmental management in business operations. We are proud that BRESSER has been recognized as an ÖKOPROFIT award winner for its systematic and consistent commitment to environmental protection.
JNF-KKL
JNF-KKL is Israel’s largest and oldest environmental organization. Through numerous joint projects with German partners, it builds bridges between Germany and Israel. A special friendship dedicated to a worthy cause: protecting nature. Whether supporting parks and forests, restoring archaeological sites, or helping to create playgrounds and educational facilities – BRESSER is always happy to contribute.
NABU
Because nature conservation is close to our hearts, we support NABU. For more than 10 years, we have provided financial and material donations to the local Rhede chapter. We also participate in the “Old Mobile Phones for More Environmental Protection” initiative, launched by NABU and Telefónica. Through our joint spring flower campaign, we planted a total of 1,200 flower bulbs, creating a sea of blossoms around our company headquarters and bringing smiles to our employees’ faces. People living in harmony with nature – that is our shared goal!
ReviewForest
Planting trees together with our customers – ReviewForest is a Berlin-based initiative that, together with its partner Eden Reforestation Projects, plants one tree for every Google review submitted for BRESSER GmbH. By helping to reforest areas in Madagascar, we contribute to biodiversity, create local jobs, and protect communities from flooding and storms.
Sirga the Lioness
To help protect biodiversity, our BRESSER wildlife cameras are deployed in the Kalahari. They assist in documenting wildlife movements, monitoring animal populations, and detecting illegal activities at an early stage. In this way, modern technology supports the preservation of valuable natural habitats.
