The LS130MT/B3400 telescopes can be upgraded with this optional Ca-K module and conversion kit. This allows to explore the Sun at different wavelengths with one and the same telescope, and the telescope can also be used for observing and photographing the starry night sky.
You can replace the H-Alpha system of the LS130MT/B3400 telescope with this conversion kit with Ca-K module in just a few easy steps. This makes it possible to observe the Sun in H-alpha or in the light of the Calcium-K wavelength - with one and the same telescope!
This Ca-K module was specially designed for the LS130MT/B3400 H-Alpha telescope. It is delivered as a set together with the conversion kit with a completely new focuser. Simply loosen three knurled screws at the LS130MT/B3400, which hold the H-Alpha unit together with the focuser. Here the new focuser will be fixed with the Ca-K module, and you have already made your LS130MT a adequate Ca-K telescope.
But that's not all: With the new focuser, without the Ca-K module, the LS130MT/B3400 can also be used as a 3-lens apochromatic telescope for astronomical observations and photography at night!
Or you can observe the Sun in White-Light together with a LUNT Herschel wedge!
This conversion kit turns the LS130MT into a real all-round telescope!
This conversion kit can also be used at the LS130MT/B1200 and LS130MT/B1800 telescopes, but it is not necessary there. This conversion kit is only necessary at the LS130MT/B3400, because at this telescope the blocking filter is fix installed inside the focuser.

This Herschel wedge is designed for superior White-Light solar observing and imaging. It can be used with refracting telescopes up to 102mm aperture, with 1.25'' focuser. This complete system comes with installed ND3.0 filter.Herschel Wedges are used to observe the sun in White Light. Around 95% of the Sun's light is suppressed by the wedge's ceramic prism. Field-flattener and focal length reducer for deep-sky astrophotography. Designed for the multipurpose APO telescopes of the Lunt-Solar-Systems LS80MT, LS100MT and LS130MT series.At the telescopes of the MT series from Lunt Solar Systems, the H-Alpha filter unit for solar observation can be removed, then these telescopes can be used as high quality ED APO's for observing and photographing the night sky.This accessory for the LS80MT, LS100MT and LS130MT telescopes shortens the focal length by a factor of 0.8x, providing a larger field of view for deep-sky astrophotography. This also allows shorter exposure times. At the same time, the field of view is flattened for photography.On the camera side, the reducer/field-flattener has a T2 male thread (M42x0.75). DSLR cameras can be connected here directly with a normal T2 ring.For other cameras, an M39x0.75 female thread is available in addition to the T2 male thread. The distance between reducer/field-flattener and camera sensor should be around 50 to 55mm. The blocking-filters have a blue colored filter part on the side facing the telescope. This blue colored filter parts may become a milky white layer at older blocking-filters if the blocking-filter was storded at high air humidity for some time. Please always store H-alpha telescopes and filters as dry as possible. If this blue colored filter part has become a milky white layer, it can be replaced with this spare part. The replacement is easy and can be done by the user himself.
